Prologue

Two-thousand years ago, before the great Joseon Kingdom was born, there was a dragon named Taehyang. He was known to mankind as the great dragon of the west, the protector of wildlife. One day he found a little fox, cold and hungry. The great dragon pitied the little fox and took her in. All was well until a great and powerful Oracle named Haru Halmi came to Taehyang. She warned him that if he does not get rid of that demon fox, there will be consequences even the great dragon of the west can't avoid, but Taehyang ignored her warning. The great dragon obviously ignored the Oracle's warning. He named her Guhyeon, and raised her like she was his own. 1000 years later, Guhyeon grew stronger and stronger. However, she changed. Her Kumiho ways started to kick in; lust and pride settled in her once kind heart. Taehyang knew he could not ignore Haru Halmi's warning much longer. One day, Guhyeon finally rebelled and attacked. Taehyang had to fight her. He got the upper hand, but at the last moment, Guhyeon striked, and used dark sorcery to strip away Taehyang's power. She then infused the power into her, making herself more powerful. But, Taehyang's power wasn't enough. So she sought out other ways to become powerful. So Guhyeon went to the village down the mountain where she lived to explore. While she was there, she heard of the same Oracle who foretold Guhyeon's destiny and went to go find her. Haru Halmi not only is a powerful Oracle, she also has knowledge of magical objects and beings. She heard that Haru Halmi lived on the edge of the Baekdu Mountains, so Guhyeon traveled to the mountains to gain knowledge of objects and beings that could make Guhyeon so powerful that no one could stop her. Guhyeon disguised herself as a little girl, so that Haru Halmi would not suspect her. Haru Halmi, knowingly invited Guhyeon in her home? She asked the Kumiho why she was looking for her. Guhyeon said that she was seeking knowledge of magical objects and beings. Haru Halmi hesitated, but told her. Through Haru Halmi, Guhyeon learned that there was an ancient jewel called the White Jade, the most powerful object that only appears every
100 years on the full moon, on the Halla Mountain. Guhyeon searched and searched, and after 1000 years, she still couldn't find it.
