I'm kinda out of Mattuardo pics- damn, this ship really is underrated XD
Also, why. The. Fuck. Do. I. Exist. I HAVEN'T WRITTEN ANYTHING FOR SO LONG- damn school is a steaming pile of shit. Sorry. I'll try to start writing again everyday! Though- it might end up being every other day. I haven't been feeling very inspired.
Also, the final part for the Mattuardo series thing I'm doing will come soon! It's been a long bit since I started that, so I have to re-read what I wrote. Then, I need to fish some ideas out of my hellhole of a mind. Alright, to the story! Sorry if it's trash.

3rd Person POV:
Matt swam for a long while, soon reaching a small river. He poked his head out of the water to make sure that no humans were around, or anybody else really. The coast was clear, so he let his upper body rise from the water a bit as he leaned his back on the dirt and grass near the edges of the water. He sighed, feeling content as the sunlight warmed his damp body. It wasn't often that he'd get time to himself, so at the moment he didn't notice that someone was walking toward him. Matt had nearly fallen asleep, but then he heard, "Uh... are you dead?" He jumped slightly, taking a quick look at the person before sinking down into the water a bit.
'Of course- I should've known that somebody would come here during such a wonderful day. I just hope that whoever it is didn't see my tail-' Matt thought to himself, making himself panic internally. Matt chuckled nervously, trying to act normal after that scare. Unfortunately, Matt was sometimes a terrible actor. "Hehehe- no, I'm alive and functioning properly! Sorry to worry you!" Matt said loudly, making the mood a bit awkward. "I w-wasn't worried- weirdo- I don't even know you!" The stranger replied, seeming to get a bit flustered. Then, Matt got a proper look at the stranger.
The stranger was bent over a bit to peer at the ginger, wearing a dark green shirt over a light gray undershirt. He also chocolate colored eyes that matched his hair. When Matt squinted his eyes to look closer, he saw two red horns sticking out of the stranger's hair. '...A demon...? Oh, so he isn't human?' Matt pondered.
"Wow! I never thought that I'd be able to see a demon for the rest of my life! This is awesome!" Matt exclaimed, making the demon jump. The stranger hurriedly fluffed his hair up as an attempt to cover the horns, which ultimately failed because Matt had already seen them. "Those- they aren't demon horns- I just forgot to take them out of my hair after I pranked my- uhm- friends-" The stranger responded, obviously lying. The freckled male covered his mouth with one of his hands to muffle his giggling, making the demon's face redden. "What's so funny?!" "You. But, don't worry about it, we're both somewhat specified as odd creatures." Matt said, making the stranger quirk a brow. Then, Matt stuck a bit of his tail out of the water, making the demon jump. It seemed as if he definitely wasn't expecting that.
Matt giggled again as the demon sat down on the grass near the water's edge. "...O-oh." Is all he replied with, then he moved his hair away from his horns. "...Oh! Forgive me, I forgot to introduce myself! My name is Matt, what's yours?" The merman announced, changing the subject. The demon hesitated for a moment, then calmed down a bit. "...I'm Eduardo." He mumbled, reaching a hand out towards Matt. Matt went quiet, then shook Eduardo's hand. "Well, it's certainly a pleasure to meet you!" Matt said after releasing his newfound friend's hand. Eduardo shrugged. "Same to you, I guess." He then looked away, blushing a small bit.
The way the ginger acted made him feel funny. It was a feeling he'd never had before, so he couldn't identify it. "...So... uh- what do you usually do for fun?" Matt asked, brushing a small lock of his hair behind his ear as he glanced over at Eduardo. The demon turned his head back toward the merman, his blush fading away. "Hmm... well... beating people up and making them give me their wallets is a pretty fun pastime." Eduardo said truthfully, making Matt frown. "Eduardo, you can't do that to people!" Eduardo was confused by that. "Huh? Why not?" "Because it's mean! Doing that hurts peoples' feelings!" Matt replied. "...So?" "So?! So stop it!"
Eduardo dug into one of the pockets on his pants and pulled one of the stolen wallets out, then he gestured it toward Matt. "I mean, you can have one if you want one. You don't have to be so jealous." Eduardo grumbled, still confused by Matt's behavior. "What?! No! Go return that!" Eduardo set the wallet down, slightly cocking his head to the side. "Why? Who cares about their feelings?" "Eduardo! That's so mean!" "It's not like they care about us. If they had a chance, they'd kill our entire species." That made Matt's breath hitch, then he thought about it for a moment.
"...While that's probably true, we shouldn't be just like them. Just because they hate us doesn't mean that we should hate them back. We can be the better ones in this fight, and just let them do their things while we do ours. So, please, give that person their wallet back. There's probably something inside of the wallet to identify who you stole it from." Matt ranted, picking the wallet up and opening it. "But-" "No buts, Eduardo. Now, you stole this from a woman named 'Jennie'. Go give this back to her, okay? I'll wait here for you, because I can't exactly come up onto land." Eduardo groaned from frustration, taking the wallet from Matt and sighing.
"Fine, fine, just... wait for me to come back?" Matt smiled a bit. "Of course! Now, go do that and come back once you're done." Eduardo then had his red demon wings rip through the back of his shirts, flying off. Matt was so proud of the male, and excited to hear from him when he came back.
(I might make a part 2 to this sometime. Well, there you go! Sorry that I haven't written any of the plot requests yet! I'll get to that soon!)
