'Perrie! Are you ready for school yet?' My older brother Jonnie yells from downstairs. I fix the last things on my hair. I tied it into a high ponytail.
'Perrie, c'mon!!!' He yells again.
'I'm coming!!' I yell back. This is how our conversation are usually. Well, it's always better than ignoring each other. I look one more time in the mirror and nod to myself.
You like fine Pez, it's fine.I hurry downstairs and grab a banana.
'Is that everything you want honey?' My mother asks me.
'Yes, I'm fine, thanks.' I say while smiling.
'If you say so.' She sighs. I know mom is just worried, and she has all the right to, but I can't tell her. No one. I don't eat much since, I don't know, two years. I eat, that's something, but just not much. Not the same amount as I used to. Not since then.
'Bye mom!!' I say, as I grab my jacket from the chair. I approach Jonnie, standing in the hallway, waiting for me.
'Ready?' He asks. I nod.
I sit down in the passenger seat of his car. Since I don't have my own, Jonnie brings me in the morning. Well, not always. I go by bus most days of the week. On Mondays and Wednesdays he goes to his job and I can ride with him, because school's on the way there.
'By the way, you look lovely.' He says, chuckling. (A/N outfit on the side)
'Thanks mom.' I joke. Jonnie sometimes acts like he's our mom. She always uses terms like "darling" or "sweetheart". We always laugh about it when she's not there, but deep inside I love her about it. It shows she cares. And I need someone to care about me. Everybody does.
'Want some candy?' Jonnie asks. I look at him.
'Why do you have candy in your car?' I ask.
'Everybody has candy in his or her car.' He states.
'I wouldn't.' I tell him.
'Oh my god Perrie! How could you say something like that.' He fake gasps. I chuckle.
When we arrive, and step out the car, I have a huge urge to pee.
'Bye bro!' I quickly say and hug him. Then I hurry to the entrance.
'Bye sis.' He yells after me. I shoot him a smile and then quickly walk again.
'Hey Perrie!' A girl greets. When I look better I see it's Eleanor, one of my friends.
'Hey El, sorry, can't talk. See you later!' I talk hastily and then walk through the hallways. She shot me a weird look and I five her a sorry face. I quickly walk into the bathroom.
Senior year started today, and I'm grateful. Only one more year. I did everything I could to avoid him. I really did. Sure, it worked, I never had to speak to him again, but just knowing he's in same building as me, gives me goosebumps. Bad goosebumps. I'm absolutely not scared of him, I just hate his guts. I'm lucky he's not in any of my classes. One more year Pez..
When I'm walking out of the toilet, I see a girl about my age, standing by the lockers, looking on a paper, probably her schedule. I decide I should help her, since she looks shy.
'Hey, need any help?' I ask her. She looks up, her dark brown eyes meeting mine.
'Oh yes. Thank you.' She smiles. I smile too.
'Oh, I'm Perrie by the way.' I say, putting out my hand for her to shake. She shakes it and smiles again.
'I'm Leigh Anne. But call me Leigh. You look stunning.' She compliment. I blush and I don't know why. Maybe because I never received a compliment from anyone but my mother and brother.
'Thank you. You're very beautiful too.' I tell her. She giggles, 'Let me see your schedule.'
She hands me the paper and I read it.
'We almost have all the same classes. We only don't have P.E together.' I tell her. She looks happy. I always have P.E with Eleanor and it's always funny with her. Just on that time, the bell rings and the hallway fills with students.
'Let's go.' I smile to Leigh Anne and link our arms together, dragging her through the loads of people.
