I wake up with a smile on my face. I've got a feeling that today's gonna be a good day. I hop out of bed to the bathroom. It's when I'm standing in front of the mirror, looking to my reflection, when I realize it isn't going to be a good day at all.
Things are very complicated. I'm starting to like Zayn, but I can't let myself fall for him. He isn't like this. I know the truth about him and that's not how he acted yesterday. Or the day before yesterday.
What he did to me yesterday felt incredibly. But I can't forget what he did to me two years ago.
I open my closet. I think I shouldn't wear something like yesterday. I don't want to be stared at. I grab my black skinny jeans and a colorful jumper. I tie my blonde hair up in a messy bun. I quickly apply some make up, making sure not to put on the red lipstick, but a light pink lipgloss. I run downstairs and almost fall, giving me a mini heart attack.
'Wow Perrie, is everything okay?' Jonnie asks concerned.
'Yea yea I'm fine.' I say.
I sit down at the kitchen table. For the first time in forever I have time for that. I'm always late so I always just grab a banana and run to the bus.
I sit down with my family, only without my dad. Weird, normally he's always here, reading the newspaper.
'Mum, where's dad?' I ask. My mother and Jonnie exchange looks and then my mother turns to me.
'Perrie, sweetie, daddy didn't came home yesterday..' she tells me hesitating.
'So...?' I ask
'So, we don't know where he is. We're very concerned.' Mum says.
'Do you think he's using drugs?' I ask.
'Perrie Louise Edwards! How dare you to say that! Of course he isn't!' My mother exclaims. I see Jonnie suppressing a smile.
'Well, I'm sorry.' I apologize.
'It's fine. I'm sorry. I'm just worried.' She explains. I give her a smile and silently eat my cereal. I hope dad isn't doing stupid things.
----------
'Bye Jonnie!' I say and walk towards the school building.
'Perrie wait!' He suddenly says. I turn around again.
'Yes?' I ask.
'Well, I just... I'm worrying about dad you know?' He says.
'Yea, me either.' I admit.
'Do you think he's gambling again?' He asks. Gambling.. I didn't even think about that. Our dad used to be addicted to gambling. He lost all our money and things went terribly wrong. He stopped, fortunately. Everything was going great with him, until now.
'I don't know.' I whisper to the ground.
'What?' He asks.
'I don't know.' I say, this time louder.
'Yea, but what do you think. Tell me your opinion, please.' He begs.
'Jonnie, don't beg me. I said I don't know. I don't have an opinion.' I tell him. I see a black car parking a few spots away from us. It's his car. He steps out of the car and Louis steps out of the passenger seat. His brown eyes meet mine and I quickly look away.
'I have to go.' I say.
'Yes, you're right. I'm sorry.' He apologizes.
'Don't be. It's fine.' I say and quickly hug him.
'You know that Trisha's son is looking at you?' He whispers in my ear, smirking. I slap his arm playfully and turn around. He's already walking to the building and I start to walk too.
'Bye!' He yells after me. I smile and walk to the entrance.
When I walk to my locker, I hear Louis yelling my name. I sigh.
'Perrie!!' He yells. I try keeping a smile on my face because he's Eleanor's boyfriend.
'Yes?' I ask.
'Well, I want to ask you something, if that's alright?' He asks.
'That's fine.' I smile.
'Okay. Well, I'm throwing a surprise party for Eleanor's birthday, and I thought, maybe you want to help me?' He asks.
'Yea, sure!' I say, as excited as possible. A surprise party for Eleanor sounds exciting, but I wished I was the one who came up with it. She's my best friend, and I wanted to be organizing this for her.
'Okay, that's a deal. Are you free this Friday?' He asks.
'Uhm, yea!' I say.
'OK, thank you. You're an angel.' He says and walks off.
The bell goes and I walk to my first class. I'm almost there when I feel a cold breath in my neck.
'Hello there, beautiful.' The voice says. I let out a irritated sigh and turn around.
'Go away, Luke.' I say
'C'mon Pez, do I really deserve this? Did I really deserve the way you treated me yesterday?' He asks.
'Yes.' I simply reply. He chuckles.
'Well, I think I didn't deserve it. I think you, on the other hand, need a punishment.' He says, 'or whatever you call a punishment, because I don't think spending this night with me isn't really a punishment.' He smirks.
'I think I don't need a punishment. I didn't do anything wrong.' I say, fake smiling.
'Oh, yes, yes you did.' He says, 'Don't you remember what you did to me yesterday?' He asks.
'I do remember that, yes.' I say. He smirks satisfied, thinking I gave in, and takes a step closer to me
'Well, if you do, you have to understand why...' He stops talking and puts his arms around my waist. He squeezes my butt, while I'm trying yo push him off.
'If you don't want to do it here, we could go somewhere else too.' He suggests.
'Shut up.' I say and manage to slips away from his touch. I quickly walk inside my class.
When I enter, everyone's eyes are on me and I get nervous. I don't like everyone watching me.
'Miss. Edwards... I'm very surprised. I didn't expect you in this class..' The teacher says. I look around the room. Oh, this is math classroom. I feel like someone is staring at me, not just staring, but very intensely. I turn around and look in Zayn's brown eyes. I quickly turn around again.
'I-I'm sorry. Wrong... Wrong classroom. I'm sorry.' I quickly say, 'I think I'm just...' I trail off and turn around to walk out the room. When I'm on the hallway I burst out in a fit of giggles. Then I take a deep breath and make sure that it's right class before I enter.
