"I'll get it." Lucy said standing up, but I stopped her by holding her wrist in my hand.

"Wait, I'm coming with you."

"There's no need, Shawn. It's probably one of the neighbors." She smiled, trying to get out of my grip.

"I'm coming." I got up and stood next to her, before dragging her to the door with me. She laughed softly, and unlocked it, revealing Connor.

"I-I thought you were alone." He stuttered as he exchanged looks between Lucy and me, a heartbroken look making it's way up to his eyes.

"I'm not, Connor. As you can see." Lucy mumbled wrapping one of her arms around my shoulder, following by me doing the same. "Shawn is helping me fix the damage you two caused."

"I'm truly so sorry, Lucy. I know I should have told you, but I was just so af-"

"You can stop, Connor." Lucy cut him off, letting go of my arm in order to take steps forward. "We both made a mistake, and you know that I'm not the one to blame you. I believe you when you say that you were drunk while doing, so I'm not going to judge you because of that. But you could have at least told me." She whispered the last part, cupping one of his cheeks. My muscles tensed at the sight, once she started caressing there. "I forgive you, and Camila."

"You do?" Connor asked with hope in his eyes, before pulling her in for a hug. "I forgive you too, Lucy."

His voice was coming out a little muffled since his head was in the crook of Lucy's neck. I closed my eyes not to see it anymore, cause I've already had enough of this for the last few months.

"D-Does this mean we can get back together?" Connor pulled away once again, causing my eyes to open themselves up almost immediately.

"It doesn't, Connor." Lucy whispered, a sympathetic smile on her lips. "I like Shawn."

I couldn't help but smile at her words, feeling my blood starting to flow way faster. A kind of warm knot was forming in my stomach, and I felt the heat rushing to my cheeks.

"Oh." Connor mumbled as his eyes met mine, smiling in a disappointed way. "I'm happy for you two, then."

"We're not dating, Con." Lucy giggled, reaching for his arm. "Have you talked to Camila?"

"Uh, not really. I actually came here because I saw that your car was still in the driveway of my condo and wanted to know if you are okay, you know."

"Yeah." Lucy murmured, letting go of his hand. "I will talk to her as well. I can't just finish our friendship because of something like that. We have been best friends since forever."

I could see that she was so heartbroken while talking about her, as her eyes were now glowing with the tears on them. And I thought about doing one thing after Connor left, and promised myself not to forget to do so...

~ One year later ~

"Stop it, Shawn!" I yelled once he started chasing me all around the kitchen, our giggles filling the room.

After what we had been through approximately one year ago, we were now dating with Shawn, for ten months. Connor met someone new and started talking to her. She was literally gorgeous in every possible way, and they were both making each other incredibly happy, so it definitely wasn't hard for us to like them, and their relationship.

And Camila, she wasn't dating anyone so far, but she had this guy who she kept talking to, and even though she said that she wasn't feeling something towards him, it wasn't so hard to see the sparkling in her eyes every time he was the subject. We knew she would get into a relationship with him, just not yet.

Shawn? He was incredible. I was feeling happy with Connor before as well, but with Shawn, it was like another level of living. He made me see the true happiness itself, and I couldn't thank him more for that. Not to forget the fact that he was saying he loved me in every chance he found as well.

We were living our best lives.

"Say the word!" He shouted as he finally caught me, turning my body to face his.

"No!" I started laughing louder, his tickles causing a tingly feeling to spread all around my body.

"Say it!" He yelled suddenly taking me in his arms and throwing me over his shoulder. "Unless you wanna laugh your ass off for the next thirty minutes."

"Okay, okay!" I giggled once he placed me on the couch and climbed on my body, raising his eyebrows. "I..." I stopped, studying his face.

"Hm?" He murmured as he got closer to me, his eyes never leaving mine.

"Love..."

"Hm?"

"Muffins!" I bursted out in a fit of laughter while the look on his face just got serious, soon turning into a smiling one.

"Muffins, huh?" He mumbled, getting his face closer to my neck. "Maybe we can both bake some today, then."
