Chapter 6

Mia's POV

"What the hell happened?" 

"Where did she go?" 

"How was she able to create a portal?" 

"Who's hungry?" 

"Can I kill Nickolas now?" I sigh at that one. Belle why did you have to leave me now?

"Clarabelle ran away in shame." I mutter. 

"What do you mean in shame?" Lily questions. 

Nickolas snorts, "Well exactly what she means. Belle is clearly ashamed at the turn of events."

I turn, snap my teeth and start to growl at Nick. "You do not know the troubles she is going through! You do not understand the hardships and the mental torture that Belle is going through on a daily basis!" I scream at him, "Hell I don't even know half of the stuff she is feeling and I'm connected to her!" 

"What do you mean by mental torture?" Gabriel quietly asks as not to set me off again. 

I sigh and sit on the couch, holding my head in my hands. "Belle knows that she is required to be queen however, the current one is doing nothing to help train Belle. Because of this Belle has been struggling with trying to figure out her duties as queen while also keeping up with her current ones. Her half breed mindset isn't helping because as we now know she is thinking like a Luna. She is determined to protect everyone even if it comes at the cost of herself." 

"That's why she ran." Gabriel muttered. "Hearing the amount of people she hasn't been able to help. That's what is hurting her." 

I look up and turn towards him. "How do you know she is hurting?" I demand. 

He looks up at me with his hand over his heart. "I can feel it in my own heart, and I know that it isn't my own hurt taking over." 

Everyone turns towards him. "But your not mated yet." Rosy points out. We all nod. I narrow my eyes at Gabriel. 

"How is it that I can't feel her feelings at the moment and yet you can?" I continue to narrow my eyes at him. 

"Poor little Mia is missing her only friend?" Nickolas pokes fun at me. Both Gabriel and I growl at him.

"No you douchecanoe. Clearly, they are trying to see the extent of the bond that wolfy here has with the Princess." Rosy snaps at him, her voice dripping with distaste and dislike. She turns to us. "My best guest is that Belle doesn't even know the extent of your bond so she hasn't tried to block it like she does Mia." Everyone nods at that thought. 

"But where could she have gone?" Lily asks. 

Belle's POV

I step out of the portal to a darkened land. The ground is rough and damp while the air is hot and humid. I crack my neck and feel my wings descend from my back. My body know exactly where I am and it adjusted itself accordingly. I look around the black rocks, high mountains, and abandoned lands in search of the small cabin. Once in sight I fly over there.

One of the small perks that I love about being a fae is my wings. I can't use them often but here its basically required. It reminds me of running but with more freedom. 

I touchdown in front of the door when it opens up to revel a much older version of me.

"Aunt Alecto." I say before being brought in for a hug. 

"Hello dear child. What brings you to the Underworld today?" My aunt questions. 

Aunt Alecto is one of the original furies. Her sister, Megaera, is the Queen of the Fae, my adoptive mother, and the goddess of jealously. Their other sister, Tisiphone, is my other aunt but she is constantly busy with helping Hades bring in souls since she is the avenger of murder. Alecto on the other hand is the goddess of constant anger so she is less needed and prefers to live off the kingdom grounds.
