Lena ran as fast as she could. Tears were streaming down her face but she continued running, even when she could hear Kara running behind her in the distance. Once she made it out into the quad she threw her head back to check and sighed in relief when her girlfriend wasn't following her.

No time to catch her breath, she continued sprinting across the grass. Each step she felt her feet falling behind, taking in a deep breath and persevering until she made it to the gate. The huge structure was already sliding down, challenging the girl to run even faster.

Meanwhile, Alex has reluctantly given her little sister the nod of approval and Kara disappear within seconds. All the fear inside her washed out of her body as she began running and running and running. She imagined Lena would be running too with the same goal in mind. Protect her, even if it means putting yourself in danger.

She turned her hands into fists in determination as she practically leaped up the stone staircase, missing every other step and not caring if she tripped. The spiral stairs seemed to go on forever but soon enough she made it to the balcony of the tower.

Kara peered over the edge and gulped down the rest of her nerves when she saw the brunette she loved so much heading straight for the gate. With shaking hands, she reached for her wand and flicked it upwards, sending a bright green flare up into the sky.

Within seconds a blur appeared a few metres away from the blonde. She took a step back and held her stance, immediately pointing her wand at the figure. "Lex." She said with all the coldness of the world in her voice.

The older man glanced around before staring the blonde in the eyes.
"And who are you?" He asked carelessly.
"It doesn't matter who I am." Kara quickly responded before throwing her hand forward, sending Lex flying backwards into the stone wall. The structure crumbled around him as a BOOM echoed for miles.

Lena was steps away from making it out of Hogwarts when she heard the thunderous sound of stone falling. She spun around on the spot and scanned the castle, locating the source and almost screaming in fear when she spotted Kara. The blonde was holding her ground as she fought against Lena's brother.

The brunette inhaled and opened her mouth to shout for her girlfriend to stop when an arm wrapped around her, a hand covering her mouth. Lena barely had enough to time to react when Alex spun her around and kept a hand over Lena's mouth.
"Don't scream. I know what Kara is doing is insane but she was never taking no as an answer so I will do anything I can to help her." Alex explained somewhat calmly, although Lena could notice the slight shake of her body she was holding back.

Lena tried to escape Alex's grasp but she was too strong and instead wrapped an arm around Lena's shoulders and started pulling her along. The Luthor managed to take the hand away from her mouth as she walked with her.
"This is a bad idea. She's underestimating the power Lex has." Lena said frantically and out of breath.

"I know. That's why I could do with your help." Alex admitted, picking up her pace and dragging Lena with her. Lena frowned.
"What? I thought this elaborate and insane plan was to hide me?"

"Yes but you know Lex more than me and Kara. You can help me make sure Kara doesn't get herself killed."
