I left my family back home to hit the road once again. Francis wouldn't be able to sing for a long time and we still needed to keep up with our newest expenses. The new baby, all the surgeries, the repairs to Francis' truck, the lawyer who advised us during the trial, and most of all, the bills that got behind while we were in and out of the hospital.
So I said goodbye to my family, and here I am backstage at an arena in New Jersey. I didn't have a chance to write or record any new material, so I was mainly touring old stuff and stuff I never used on a record.
The curtains open and I find myself standing before a crowd, complete with lighters and giving me a standing ovation.
"Vegas! We love you! Welcome back!" Shouts a girl, throwing a rose onto the stage, which I pick up. It feels so good to be here tonight.
