Fiery sunset

The night donned upon them like a bullet to the heart. Hard and cold. The blanket's insulation was just enough to keep them from freezing. Sparks ignited in the air like the sunset in the background, the result of Garroth's hands daftly twisting a twig to start a fire.

Unlike the others who were frustrated, Aphmau tried to see the bright side of things. "The sunset is beautiful, like a fire blazing through the night, but more peaceful.." She tried to piece it into words how astonishing it was to her, although it was sort of a fail.

"Yeah. It reminds me of those dandelions. The flowers you blow and make a wish on; you know what I'm talking about right?" Zoey asked, a kind tone.

"Yes, of course! I would play in fields when I was a child, running around the flowers with my friends, smelling the beautiful smell." A smile plastered itself on her face "I like remembering those times... I just wish Aaron could have been there to see it too. He would have liked that, I think."

"Maybe." Zoey's face also retreated back to a friendly smile.

"Girls, please try and stay on task. We need to find a way in" Garroth interrupted.

"There's no way we could do anything in this cold. And besides, we're all tired. Maybe we should try and find a place to sleep where we won't get caught? We could think about this all tomorrow. It would be easier"

"Yeah! Zoey's right. Us girls are tired. We need to rest"

The three of them found shelter back by the homeless man they saw earlier.

"Is it ok if we stay here? Just till the morning. We are in desperate need of shelter"

"Yes, come, sit. I am also in desperate need of company." They nodded and huddled together in the small tent.

One by one they drifted off to sleep, but not Garroth. "What if we are never able to fix Y/n's memory" he though "What if she never remembers the times we had together" He wiped tears off his cheek. "Irene help her" The blonde's voice shook as he whispered that.

Soon he could't stay awake any longer and passed out from exhaustion, tears on his eyelashes.
