As I was driving Astrid asked Abby "So, you said we needed to do some tasks?"
Abby gasped "Right! (Y/N), look in the armrest console."
"Huh?" I said confused
"Its the thing under your arm. Just pulled it up." She sighed
I looked down for a second and pulled it up "Snotlout can you take a look in there?"
He looked in and he pulled out a list
"That list is useful. You must do all those tasks!" Abby explained
"And if we don't?" Hiccup said looking at the list.
"Well, you guys won't be able to go home..." Abby said sadly
We all gasped
"W-why do we have to do these things?" I asked as I was glancing at the list.
"I don't know. I guess because the universe said so or maybe because you can experience what the 21st century is all about. You guys are a thousand and something plus years into the future after all!"
"This is actually really scary." Fishlegs whimpered
"Oh, there's nothing to be worried about! Just mind your business and don't get anyone mad. In the 21st century we got...eh...just don't worry about it!" Abby said brushing it off
"How long are we going to be gone?" Tuffnut asked
"I got some important things to do back at my universe," Ruffnut added
"Well, to complete every single task... One year." Abby said casually
"No-no-no-no I am a chief. I-I can't be gone for that long!" Hiccup said worriedly
"No worries! Time moves differently. One year here is just a day back at your universe. It would be like nothing has changed." Abby said matter of fact.
"If you say so..." I muttered
It has been about an hour and we stopped listening to music for a bit.
I heard my stomach growl.
"Uh, is anyone hungry?" I asked chuckling
"We didn't by any food did we?" Astrid asked sighing
Abby piped up "Oh! There's a PizzaHut, or Fazoli's, or Buffalo Wild Wings, or--?"
"Buffalo Wild Wings sound interesting! What about you guys?" I asked
They all looked at each other and nodded at me.
My contact lenses changed directions and I followed it. Before we knew it we were in front of a building. Its sign was an animal with wings on it.
I parked the SUV pretty well. It just took four or five times to get it right. I locked the doors and placed the key in my satchel.
We went inside and it was loud, dim, and smelled really good. A woman who was standing in front of a wooden podium gave us an odd look.
