Chapter 5

Hey guys I'm back.

Ember's P.O.V

As I entered the kitchen tent I snapped my fingers and summoned some ingredients to make homemade hamburger helper. I quickly got to work and soon had enough to feed the hunters and Artemis. I quickly got it all into the dining tent and sat down by the fire. As I sat down the hunters came in from the forest and I could see the younger hunters faces light up. I smiled and turned into my wolf form and laid down. I could tell that they wanted to run up to me but didn't want the other hunters to think that they liked me. They soon all went into the dining tent and soon I could tell that they were enjoying the food. I closed my eyes because I felt Artemis flashing in. As soon as the bright light went away I opened my eyes and saw her sitting next to me by the fire. I quickly turned back into my human form.

"What is it Artemis?" I asked.

"Why did you want to be my guardian?" Artemis asked.

"Because I'm the only decent male there is."

"That may be true but when you told my father that you would be my guardian your eyes were filled with determination."

"I wanted to be your guardian because while I was in Alaska I met a girl that I liked to call Frost due to the fact that she was always cold towards every other male there. But one day I wasnt able to save her from a hellhound. I dont want that to happen to the hunters because I know that if any other male was your guardian than that would most likely happen." I said as I stood up. I turned away from her and walked into the woods.

Artemis' P.O.V

As I watched Ember walk away I thought about what he just told me. I shook my head and went into the dining tent to eat. When I finished eating I went to my tent and sat down on my bed thinking about how Ember seemed to change when he fought Ares. And I don't mean mentally I mean physically. I saw his eyes become more slanted and his pupils seemed the take on the shape of a reptiles. But it was over in a flash so i'm not sure what I saw. I sighed and laid down quickly losing myself in thought.

Ember's P.O.V

I sighed as I sat down by a cliff. 'What was I thinking using my Dragon form to defeat Ares?! Any one could have seen it!' I stood up as dragon wings pop out of my back. 

I rolled my shoulders as I jumped off of the cliff and spread my wings and flew over the forest below looking for any monsters. Not seeing or sensing any I quickly flew back to the cliff to see Artemis. 'SHIT!' I quickly tried to dive out of her view but she saw me so I just hovered there looking at her while she stared at me with wide eyes. I sighed and quickly landed on the cliff in front of her and retracted my wings hiding them from view.

Sorry that this chapter is short ive run out of ideas so this is where i'll stop.
