Blessed by the snow and wolves

Chapter 7

I'm back and with a new chapter!!!

Ember's P.O.V

As we stood there I looked into her eyes and was immediately entranced. I lost myself inside of them and didn't noticed how close we were until I could feel her breath on my face. I immediately pulled away blinking as my face went crimson. I looked away and when I looked back I could see that her face was as red as mine. 

"We should probably be getting back. The hunters are probably getting worried." I said to which she just nodded. I began to walk out of the cave when my  dragon landed on my shoulder. I sighed and left him be since he did this a lot and he rarely leaves the cave without me. Artemis saw him and reached a hand out to pet him. As her hand was an inch away from his head he closed the gap and rubbed his head against her hand. She smiled and pulled her hand away and continued to walk. I smiled slightly and we soon reached the camp and parted ways. I went towards my tent and Arty went to hers since it was around eight o clock at night. I entered my tent and went and laid down on my bed and Zodiac (the dragon) curled up by my feet and I instantly fell asleep. A few hours later a was awaken by a scream. I immediately shot up and pulled out my swords but soon put them away as I saw what the commotion was all about. It was just Zoe seeing Zodiac for the first time who was still curled up at the foot of my bed. I chuckled as Zoe calmed down and leaned against a post. I reached over and picked Zodiac up and set him down on the couch. "What is it Zoe?" I said turning to face her. 

"Lady Artemis would like to see you in her tent." She said and quickly walked out of my tent. I sighed and followed her out and went over to Arty's tent and walked in to see her sitting on the edge of her bed with a concerned look on her face. I sat down next to her and she sighed.

"Before I tell you what I have to say I want you to promise that you wont get angry." She said.

"I swear on Chaos' name that I wont get angry." I said to which the ceiling flashed black sealing the oath.

"You may not like this but we have to return to camp for the anniversary of your disappearance because they hold a ceremony in your memory." She said it quickly but I heard it. I sighed and just nodded my head.

"Fine but I can't promise that I won't kill any campers." I said when she looked at me confused. I flopped onto my back and she laid down next to me. "When do we leave?"

"Later today." She said causing me to sigh again. I closed my eyes and relaxed for awhile but eventually I got up and walked out and went over to my tent and brought Zodiac out and then packed up my tent. I picked up the little white square and Zodiac landed on my shoulders. I put the little white square into my pocket and made my way to the center of the camp. As I walked up everyone got ready to make there way to camp half-blood. I told Arty that I would see them there and snow traveled to the edge of camp and sat down to wait. Soon the hunters ran up to me so I stood up and became my wolf form and I think the hunters got the message to not call me by my real name while at camp. We all entered the camp and I gave Zodiac permission to enter camp. Zodiac curled around my neck and I walked next to Arty. We soon heard the conch horn blow signaling our arrival. Soon the campers and Chiron were all standing in front of us. Most of the campers were looking at me nervously because I was pretty big for a wolf. I stood to about Chiron's waist when her was in centaur form. I sat down next to Arty and growled when I saw a familiar son of thunder beard named Zane (Sorry to all of the Aphmau fans reading this). I calmed down when I felt Arty's hand on my head but was still ready to rip out his throat. I began to growl again when I heard him whisper something about the hunters being his playground to the camper next to him. I was extremely close to lunging at him when I heard Lady Chaos' voice in my head telling my to wait. And I'm glad I did because soon after an arrow with a boxing glove on it hit him right where the sun don't shine. I looked around to see who shot it to see Zoe standing next to me with her bow out. I mentally smirked and followed the hunters to there cabin and when I made sure that they were all there I quickly ran to the big house and up to Arty and laid down by her feet. Chiron noticed me instantly and quickly became nervous.

"Lady Artemis I don't mean to be rude but why is that giant wolf following you around?" He asked swallowing as he finished speaking. I stood up and went back into my human form and sat down on the couch next to Artemis.

"Because i'm her guardian. Didn't the council tell you about me?" I asked him to which he just nodded. I chuckled as I saw him relax and he sighed.

"I'm sorry but why do I feel like I know you from somewhere?" He asked causing me to stiffen and pull my hood over my face more. 

"I used to be a camper here. But that was around eight hundred years ago and I still haven't forgiven this camp for what they did to me." I said getting up. I told Arty that I was going to go check on the hunters and walked out and headed to the hunters cabin. As I neared it I noticed Zane walking up to the hunters cabin and I quickly turned into my wolf form and ran at him full speed. I reached him as he reached the porch and tackled him to the ground while growling. He screamed like a little girl causing all of the campers to look our way only to look away when they saw what was happening. Soon enough Chiron and Arty ran (or galloped in Chirons case) up to us. Arty pushed me off of Zane and I turned into my human form and pulled out one of the swords I had forged while I was in Alaska and kept it at the ready. Zane quickly stood up and glared at me which I responded with a glare of my own. He looked at my and I was lucky that Zodiac was hidden under my hood. 

"What happened here?" Chiron asked.

"I was walking around when he attacked me out of nowhere!" He yelled to which I just scoffed.

"Wow! Your lying skills have gotten even worse since the last time I saw you Zane!" I said sarcastically. "If you really want to see what happened then let me show you." I said and pulled out a Drachma. "Iris I need a favor!" I yelled toward the sky and a split second later Iris the goddess of rainbows and the messenger of the gods was standing next to me.

"What do you need wolf boy?" She asked and I could clearly tell that she was not happy at the moment because she only called me that when she was in a bad mood.

"I need you to show us what happened her a few minutes ago starting from when I left the big house." I said and handed her the Drachma. She closed her eyes and a shimmering image with white edges appeared. the image then began to move and showed what really happened before I tackled Drama queen jr. over here. As soon as it was over it disappeared and so did Iris. I could tell that Arty was furious by the death glare she was giving Zane. "Zane if I were you I would run." I told him to which he just ran and went straight into the Zeus cabin. I went inside Cabin eight (Artemis' cabin) and went into the room to the left of Arty's which was recently added for my use. As I entered it I was instantly hit with a blast of cold air and when I looked around I thought I was back in Alaska for a second. I shut the door and went to the center of the room and sat down. I got into a meditating pose and began to meditate to relieve some of the stress from today. Soon I fell into a sleep like trance and let my mind wander. After what felt like a few minutes to me but was really a couple of hours Arty came into the room and quickly shut the door. She sat down across from me so I brought myself out of the trance and opened my eyes to listen. She was about to speak when she shivered so I took of my cloak and put it on her shoulders so I was just in a sleeveless shirt and some sweatpants. She put her arms through the sleeves of my cloak and smiled.

"I'm sorry if I bothered you but its time for the ceremony to begin." She said as she wrapped her self in my cloak. 

"Don't worry you didn't bother me. I was just about to stop anyway." I said standing up and helping her up. We both exited the cabin and made our way to the amphitheater for the ceremony. I sat down in the seat closest to the isle and Arty sat next to me with the hunters behind us. Soon after the other gods and goddesses including all of the minor gods and goddesses flashed in. Chiron then stood up and cleared his throat to get everyone's attention. When he did the whole place went silent. He began a speech about how my life at camp half-blood had begun and how he was sorry about how he had treated me in the final days of my time a camp half-blood. I swear I could see tears in everyone's eyes including the Ares campers. Well lucky for me my appearance changed quiet a bit so no one recognized me. As the speech ended he picked up a plate of food and dumped it into the hearth and sacrificed it to me which I didn't think was possible until I felt a surge of energy flow through me. And soon after he pulled a tarp off of a new statue and when I saw it I nearly started crying because it was a statue of me sitting by a hearth playing a guitar. It looked so life like that I thought I was looking back in time to when I used to be happy here.
