Katsuki's POV
We still can't go home. We need to take care of Totsu. Her mom is still in a pretty bad condition, but she is better than how she was before. I want to go back home. I can tell Deku is a bit impatient as well, he keeps fidgeting and looking around. We couldn't do much, we both were still a little banged up too. I've had worse, and so has he. We're both completely fine.
Deku had been looking through a book he found in the drawer that set by the window in the hospital room. I had no idea what to do so I was just sitting on the bed, my eyes fixated on him. His eyes move across the pages as he read. He's so cute. Damn I wish I wasn't so hard on him in the past.
Minutes pass before his eyes finally tail off of the book, and turn to me, his expression confused like. I allow my crimson gaze to look into his emerald green ones. After a moment he speaks.
"I'm bored. Where is Totsu? She's been gone for a while, don't you think she should've been back by now?"
His words make my brows knit together, my lips slightly part as I think. A moment later I stand up and head to the door, looking over my shoulder to Deku.
"Yeah, She should've. Let's go find her." I reply as he gets up and goes by my side. We intertwine our fingers together and head out, wandering in the direction of her mom's hospital room. As we walk we both get an uneasy feeling by the eerie feeling from walking the halls. No one was walking them. Just us, no one else.
As we neared the room there was a high pitched buzzing noise from one of the lights on the ceiling. It gave us both the chills, but I was trying to act like I wasn't fazed by it so it might ease Deku's mind a bit. I felt his grip get a little tighter while he holds my hand. This causes me to smile a bit with how afraid he has already gotten.
"What? is my cute little broccoli boy afraid of the big spooky hospital?" I joke around which causes him to whine. Clearly not amused by my words.
"W-What?! No I' not! I just.. Don't like the noises.. they make me scare- I mean weirded out!"
I chuckle at is misuse of words. I ruffle his hair and nod like he's correct which calms him down a bit. Then we make it to the hospital room. the door was slightly cracked and we can hear murmurs of people talking. I can tell Deku calmed down a bit more with hearing other voices rather than our own. He cracks the door open a bit more to peer into the room only to see Totsu and her mother talking happily to one another.
It was a sight to see. They both looked so happy as if nothing had ever happened before. It was more pure than anything, and that's a lot coming from me. I tilt my head slightly to the side as I watch. Jeez, I can't wait to start a family with Deku. I really cannot wait.
We both walk in and sit down in chairs by the bed and we chat about what we were going to do with Totsu since her mom is still unable to leave the hospital. Her mom decided that she would be okay with her for a while longer, then she would call her sister and have her take Totsu for a while. She thanked us for taking care of her and tried offering us money.
I mean... I wanted it, but Deku told me no so.. I guess I won't be getting any money.
"Kacchan, let's leave them be, okay? We're both free to go home now. Don't you wanna go home and just.. cuddle in our bed all day?" His warming green gaze made contact with my red crimson ones for a few seconds before I averted my gaze with a chuckle, kissing him on the cheek before responding.
"Yeah. Let's go, Deku. That sounds nice." I respond and take his hand once more, raising it to my lips before starting to walk out, smiling warmly as we make it outside. I forgot. I was forced in this damn hospital against my will, so I didn't have a car... But! Thanks to All Might (Even though he forced me to this hell hole) He got us a temporary car. That... If I can I'll keep- We both got into the car and just.. sat there for a moment. We just enjoyed each others presence. We.. I don't know. I really appreciate him. I love him. Deku, Is mine, and he is going to be mine forever.
I know he feels the same. If he didn't he wouldn't have followed me all the way to this point. He wouldn't be by my side anymore. Despite all that I've done to him, he stayed. even though I'm a terrible person. I know I'm a huge asshole to people. I know my ego can cloud my mind from the things right in front of me, but regardless of all of that, he stays with me.
I'm just so lucky. I wish my fucking hot headed self would've understood that sooner. I wish I would've made a mood sooner... Oh well. It doesn't matter anymore. He is here with me. That makes me so glad.
After a few moments I start up the car and we start on our way home. One of my hands on the wheel while the other is intertwined with Deku's. This can't get any better. I love this. About ten minutes go by before we pull up into the driveway, Deku's expression is just the cutest thing I could ever lay my eyes on. He looked so excited to go home.
He rushed out of the car and energetically waited by the door since I'm the only one with a key. I laugh and get out as well, go to the door and we both walk in. We put all our stuff down and hurry to the bed. He basically pulls me into the bed though. I smile and engulf him into my arms. Its just as it used to be. Well.. As it was before we went to the hospital.
"Deku?" I ask randomly.
He tilts his head up in acknowledgement.
"This is it.. Our new start." I say as I kiss his cheek.
He nods and nuzzles into me.
I love this. I can't wait to see where it leads us.
