Millie's POV.

It was the current day that several hours before, I lost my dog. Dolly. She was missing. Finn came up to my door and apologised. He also volunteered to help. Which meant we had to go out now to find her? God knows where she would go.

Finn had a driving licence but no car. I let him use mine. I was yet to drive alone without my parents. Finn is 16 so hes older enough to drive without an adult. Lucky him.

"Hey, look. I'm really sorry about earlier. I couldnt go home without helping you out. I mean... Dolly was fat and all but she was a nice dog."

"She was the best. I love her." Finn looks to me
"Loved her." I rephrased.

"We will find her. I have a feeling. She'll get found safe and sound. She's probably found somewhere to sleep and someone is looking after her." I look out the window. Not ignoring Finn but looking for Dolly.

"We're not in the good neighbourhood for that. There are people out there that could run her over or...." I paused. I didn't want to finish the sentence off.

"Trust me Millie. Dolly is okay." I look to Finn. He looks back. We stare at each. We didn't realise we were swaying off the road when a car horn disturbed us. Finn freaked and stirred the car in the right lane. I look back at the other car  as they stuck out their arm and sweared at us with their middle finger.

I begin to laugh and look back at Finn. He looked into the review mirror. He wasn't satisfied. But I was quiet happy. Not that he got swore out. That he can feel almost dead nearly. That's how I felt when Dolly nearly got hit. It made me dead inside. Heart racing and make me jump out my skin.

An hour later we was singing and dancing to songs in the car. I stuck my sunglasses on and sang along to the songs. Letting some worries off my chest. I felt myself. I could be myself. Finn was grinning and singing along. We came to a stop and saw a poster. We climbed out the Car to look. It was Dolly on the picture.

I look around the joint. All the trees and light post had pictures of missing dog on them. I turn to Finn and he ripped the paper off the tree and looked at it.

"Is that Dolly?" I ask.

"It looks like her." Finn answers.

"Why would someone be posting missing dog over the lamp posts and trees?"

"Didn't your mom or dad do this?"

"No! They've been in. Who is doing this?" I was more confused than ever. Please let this be a sign. That someone may have my dog and if we find her we can get her back.

"Let's ring the number." Finn pulled out his phone. Dialling the number.

He placed it to his ear. Listening.

"Put on speaker." I say coming towards him. He puts it on speaker and holds between us.

"Hello?" A woman answered. No one I recognised before.

"Hello? I found your missing dog poster..."

"Oh do you have him?" She said sounding surprised. I look to Finn. Lip speaking to him. 'Him?'

"I'm sorry. Him?" Finn repeated.

"My dog! Did you find him?" She sounded. I look to the poster. This wasn't Dolly. This was an another dog that looked like Dolly. How can this be?
