corbyn was now curled up against daniel, his strong arms wrapped around his thin waist. although he was still sad about his brother going off to college, daniel managed to put a smile on his face.

corbyn was relaxed, practically putty on daniel. the younger boy had his thumb gently caressing the small of his back. daniel's eyes were trained on the television in front of him, but his energy was towards holding the older boy.

daniel knew that this day was going to be rough for corbyn— his best friend left the state for college. he knew that he would show up to his house in desperate need of cuddles. the soft pitter patter of the rain set both teenage boys at ease.

corbyn's eyes fought to stay open. the soft scent of daniel's cologne made him drowsy. plus, just the tight hold around his waist made his head foggy.

"go to sleep, bean."

corbyn let out a small noise, shifting around slightly. he felt his eyes slip shut. he felt absolutely content against daniel. he wanted to stay like this forever. just the two of them.

when corbyn woke up, it was still raining out. with a single thought, the rain stopped and the sky cleared. he sat up, daniel's arm awkwardly around his waist since they were spooning on his bed. (daniel must have carried him up since they were on the couch before.)

"when did it stop raining?" daniel asked tiredly, pulling corbyn back down so he was laying on his back.

"just now." his soft voice rang out. "but isn't it lovely? the rain?"

daniel opened his eyes and saw corbyn's tired eyes looking out the wet window. daniel hummed. "yeah.. i guess it is."

corbyn sighed gently and rolled around so he was under daniels chin, being held once again by the younger. daniel kissed his blonde locks, and pulled the covers up so their waists were covered.

the two, surrounded by the complete darkness, fell back into a deep slumber.
