After Lori and I got the last of our coffee drank,
and finished the rest of our packing,
here in the little patch of woods that was my home camp for the past 3 months.
I should say, someone else's camp now.  I'm not gonna be here anymore so I'm not gonna need it.
I left a bunch of stuff behind to, like two tents,
some blankets and other stuff I know i don't need because there was no way that I could carry it all that long ways.
So I've got a big metal frame backpack with a bedroll wrapped in a plastic tarp strapped to it,
Lori has a smaller backpack with a small blanket rolled up in a plastic bag and tied to it.
"Do you got everything that your taking?" I asked "I mean you ain't got much anyway." I said as I helped her put on her backpack .
"Yep. I didn't want to take more than I could carry." "Smart thinking", I said.
That's the way I see it to but I can carry more than you.
So you ready to get this journey started?"
"I am so more then ready" she said with a big smile that I like to see. I could see that she was a little nervous about all of this by the way shes acting so anxious right now.
She has gone through so much pain and suffering for a lone time from the hands of that abusive asshole.
I'm glad she asked me to take her away from him.
I feel like I'm doing someone some good in this world and that's always a good thing.
I took one last look around at the old place.
The place i called home for a couple of months.
But its time to go and get back to the NY state where its getting close to being summer time.
I've spent my winter here in Florida but its May now.
Im actually traveling late this year
because I usually go back up north around April.
I don't like to be in Florida during hurricane season.
I also don't like to be in NY state during the winter.
I'm going to miss this camp it's been good to me. Maybe I'll check it out next year if I get to make it back down to Florida. We'll see.
"OK off we go. Upstate NY, here we come." I said. And we were off.
