After we finished our beer, and the bus came about 15 minutes later we got on and rode it too downtown. There weren't very many people on the bus so i was able to put my pack in a seat next to me. I knew more people would be getting on here though before we get to the station downtown. I also knew that this was going to be a long ride. We had to take this bus to downtown and then when we got off there, we had to find out what bus to take to Sanford and where we were supposed to catch it. I didn't know how far that was, but I knew it was going to take a while. Lori got a seat behind me with all her stuff. If someone gets on and has to sit there going to be out of luck because I'm not moving my stuff. Now if it's an old lady or one that's pregnant then I'll move but if that don't happen. It's still early yet so a lot of people would be going to work about now. We finally got to the station in about 40 minutes or so, which wasn't too bad. What was bad was I had to use the bathroom, urgently. Lori wasn't doing good either. "My bladders going to explode" I said. "Me too. We got to find some bathrooms NOW and fast." "There they are I spotted them." I lead the way and as soon as she saw the lady's room, she darted right in. I emerged from my side before Lori came out, so I took this time to look around and assess my surroundings and that's when I spotted the information center. She came out a few minutes later and we walked over to where a line had formed in front of the counter where a solemn looking woman was answering questions from people whom I only assume where trying to find their own way to where they needed to go. When it was our turn Lori, and I stepped up to the info counter to ask the lady who clearly looked like she wasn't enjoy her morning. "Where do we go to catch the bus to Sanford?" "Platform G" she said. "It leaves in 10 minutes." "Thank you" we both said at the same time. We grabbed our stuff and headed for platform G. It was easy to find because the platforms where clearly marked. This bus station was nice, and big. It was nicer than some other city bus stations I'd seen in my time. Bad. It had a lot of people milling around and somewhere hanging around one area smoking. "Let's go down there. We can have a cigarette before we get on the bus." "Yeah, that's a great idea. Let's go". "So according to this schedule I picked up, we got to ride this bus up to a shopping center and change buses there. We'll have an hour wait there." "Well," Lori said. "We're going to have to find somewhere to get some beer. I need a drink bad." "We'll get some. Just be patient." So now we wait. Before we were able to finish our cigarette our bus was here and waiting. This one was kind of crowded at first, Lori was able to get a seat in the middle of the bus, but she had to put all her stuff on her lap because she had to share a seat with someone else and i had to stand up for a bit. But as we rode through north Orange County, people were getting off the bus here and there along the route until it was finally our turn to. Where we disembarked the bus was several bus cubicles with mettle seats that where just about full off people that needed to wait for another bus, like us. I looked at Lori and i could tell that she was thinking the same thing i was, we needed a beer. As luck would have it, we were waiting in front of a shopping center. I put my pack over where Lori was seating. "Give me about $10, I'm going to go over and get us some beer." So, I walked over to the grocery store and got us a beer. I was able to get us a couple of tall boys of Natty Ice. that way we could drink the beer while it's still in the small bag the store put it in. Lori cracked hers open as soon as i handed it to her and chugged about a 3rd of the can regardless of the people that were waiting around so i followed along and opened mine. the first drink was so thirst quenching I didn't even know i was that parched. the schedule that i was reading said that the next bus to Sanford wasn't coming for another 45 minutes so all we could do was set there as comfortably as we could, drink our beer and wait. It was 10:10am
