"Stay down!" Alfio screamed as I was thrown to the ground, glass shattering all over me while I laid flat against the floor of the car.

I felt sick to my stomach as the car sped, the engine revving as it was being pushed to its limit.

I felt myself going in and out of consciousness, my body laid completely limp as I lost control.

I was going to die.

It was like one of those moments where you knew something was going to happen, I could feel it in my gut.

This was the end for me I thought as a war surrounded me.

I slapped my hands against my ears, squeezing my eyes shut as a I could no longer hear gun shots or glass shattering, but instead a painfully loud ringing.

I opened my eyes looking up as Alfio shot out of his back window.

That was the last thing I saw before I completely lost consciousness, not waking up this time.

I felt myself being lifted into gentle arms, as I heard muffled voices surrounding me making my head ache.

I peeled my eyes open, squinting at the brightness of the sun, now realizing I was outside.

I decided not to open my eyes again as I lifted my arm up, gripping onto Alfios shirt, already knowing it was him from his touch.

I felt him grip me harder, pulling me closer to his chest, slightly soothing me.

"Alfio." I called out trying to sit up in his arms.

"No." He demanded as I let my body go limp in his arms once more.

His voice was cracked and horse, but it calmed me to hear a familiar voice.

My body felt numb as the memories began to hit me one after another, I was regaining recollection of what happened, but slowly.

I opened my eyes, feeling heavy anxiety as my heart raced.

It was all a blur causing me to squint and bring my hand up to protect my eyes from the sun.

"Listen to me." Alfio spoke, gently patting my check.

I opened my eyes, shutting them again immediately, as a rush of sleepiness began to swallow me whole.

"You're head is bloody and you might have a concussion, I can't let you fall asleep Angola." He said firmly, but sweetly when he calmed me angel.

"Take me home." I said oblivious and dumbfounded, completely ignoring what he said.

"I wanna lay down." I called out, completely out of it.

"Look at me." He said seriously.

I instantly opened my eyes, curious of his sudden serious tone.

"What." I said angrily, I felt like I was on some type of drug that was making me loopy. I didn't feel myself.

He just looked down at me, deep into my eyes, but gently, he hadn't looked at me like that in a while, considering the situation I had got us into and the way I had been acting lately.

I missed it.

The way he was looking at me, it was like his beautiful face sobered me up slightly.

I was so hypnotized i hadn't even realized he was holding me bridal style.

"Try and stand up." He said, quickly looking away from me like he snapped back into reality.

"Slowly." He demanded as I quickly leaned up in his arms.
