Hello people/other beings, I am so delighted to see that you have chosen to read my book. Now you see, this book is my very first one ever to be published online. Yes, it is what you would call unfinished, but I plan to change that very soon. Please enjoy and you may read on now if you even bothered to read this. -kryptoniteregina2002
--------------------------------------------------------------------Hey, I'm Raza Regina and I am 13 years of age. I have started seventh grade a week ago and it has been the best school year ever so far. The classes are amazing and we have not gotten any homework, which sadly, may change soon. Even though it has only been one week, I feel like I am really going to enjoy 7th grade. Allow me to introduce how my week has been going.
My friends have been trying to set me up with my long timing crush, Bryce Combs. Bryce and I have been good friends ever since I moved in my current neighborhood 4 years ago. His dad lives across the road from me, and every weekend or two, Bryce would go stay at his dad's. While he is there, most times we would hang out outside and look at the stars, play games, and even challenge each other in "karate". His parents are divorced if you haven't figured it out yet. Over the summer, before we went to seventh grade, we did become so distant I wonder if we are still friends anymore. Though little did I know that I was soon to find out.
It was a normal Friday, my friend/cousin Molly and I were outside of the school doors during lunch, where everyone was allowed to hangout. Molly has aubray brown and blonde hair and is the same height as me with blue eyes. She said she just wanted to hang out, which may I point out is rare, so I knew something was being plan inside where my other friends were.
No, don't go!!! My instincts yelled at me.
I ignored my instincts and went outside with her. I knew whatever was going to happen was not to be good because Molly kept me from going back into the cafeteria and that is a major sign that the others are doing something, but of course, I ignored it.
Not long after we went outside, I tried again to go back, but it was to late due to my other two friends, Faith and Jessica, were walking out the door outside laughing. Faith has pale skin and blonde hair, and grey blue eyes, also she is really skinny. When they reached us, my senses finally kicked in."WHAT DID YOU GUYS DO?!" I whispered yelled so nobody else heard. I hate being center of attention most times.
"We went to go and see a certain someone for a minute or two," Faith answered starting to sober up a little bit.
"He said maybe," Jessica finished for her. Right at that moment, I knew exactly who and what they were talking about and now I knew what they have done.
"You asked him out for me?!" I asked petrified, "why would you help them with this Molly? And I'm sure I told you guys to not do this, did I not?"
"Faith told me too," Molly answered
"Well, yeah, don't you remember LAST year? You said we could do whatever we want, that you didn't care," Jessica stated. Key word in her sentence though, LAST year.
"Since when do you ever listen to Faith 'Cause last time I checked you hated her and how am I suppose to remember that, also I told you guys last week not to do anything!"
"Good point."
"UGH!!," I groaned loudly.
'Sometimes I hate my so called "friends"' I thought to myself
"Hey, calm down he might say yes," Faith said as giggly as ever.
What she obviously does not know is that when guys in our school says "maybe", translated, they mean "never".
"Yeah and if he says no you still have us," Jessica said with a smile.
'But for how much longer.'
"I hate you guys, but it looks like I am sadly stuck with you," I said glaring at them and if looks could kill, they all would be six feet under.
"Yeah, but you also love us and you are stuck with us forever and forevermore," Faith said.
"Whatever weirdos" I am truly annoyed/mad at them now.
Through the rest of the day and all weekend, all I could think about was Bryce and what would happen to our friendship. I just hope that he will stay friends with me.
-------------Monday------------
I have been avoiding Bryce all morning, so I do not have to hear my friendship breaking, piece by piece, second by second. Though it is obvious that it is already broken and far beyond repair. I knew during lunch my friends would go ask again because this time they told me, and I let them because what is the point of arguing for something that is already gone. What else is there to lose. When they came back and told me he said no, I was...well there are no words to describe describe how I felt because even though I knew it was going to happen, it still hurt. I had officially just lost a best friend. I wish they would stop asking guys out for me and telling guys I like them when I most certainly do not. I am going to leave sometime before anymore damage is done. I just do not know how.
----------after lunch------
"I didn't like him that much you guys, why do you not believe me?" I asked, becoming annoyed. I am trying to get them to leave him and I alone. They keep bugging him and questioning me.
"Because just last week you were going crazy nonstop talking about how cool he was and stuff" Faith said first.
"Yeah, so do you really expect us to believe your don't him like that?" Jessica pitched in.
"Whatever. Believe what you must, but 'tis true" I say now definitely annoyed at my friends.
'That is it. I am so sick and tired of being treated like this. Soon, there is going to be a fight and I am not backing down, but I will give them one last chance to prove themselves to be my true friends. If they blow it, I am gone.' I thought to myself as I was walking to my next class.
---------------------------
It has been a two weeks, and I am really happy that my friends are starting to act like true friends again and are not going behind my back anymore, that I know of at least. Also Jessica and I have actually became closer friends than the rest. I also stopped talking as much as I used to around the others, but then something happened one day in the lunch line when I was by myself.
I looked up, saw him turn around and look at me, and he walked up to me. That was when I met him...
