When I got to school I went to the cafeteria and sat in mine and Dylan's old spot, which was originally mine first, and I made sure he was sitting somewhere else and then sat down. I got out my iPad and started playing subway surfers when Jordan, one of my classmates/friends, came and sat next to me.
"Hey Raza."
"Hey Jordan."
"Are you playing subway surfers?"
"Yeah."
"I love that game, can I play too?"
"Sure."
We took turns playing until the first bell rang. Since we had first hour together, we walked down to gym class together. When everyone got there the coach said to line up for starburst, the schools talent show, and to take our stuff with us because it was suppose to last longer then the class hour.
Before we went to starburst, the coach had us wait in the student center, a room with big windows across from the main office, where the 9th graders sit during lunch, because he miscalculated the time and we left the gym early. I, for one, was not happy because there was already a class in there, and in that class was a person I did not want to see at the moment. Dylan.
When I saw Dylan, I hurried, and sat down knowing that he had already saw me because I was the only one sitting at the only open table, which was in the middle of the room, before Jordan, Charlet, and Alen joined me. I whispered to Charlet that he was here, and she said to just not look at him so, I didn't although every few minutes I felt eyes on me.
When it was time for starburst, we went to the M.D. gym and there, my friend Faith, found me and took me to the open seats she managed to get. We took our seat in one of the middle bleachers and watched as many kids performed their talents.
-------------after starburst-----------
After starburst it was already time for 4th hour. We have been in the for four hours. When I got to my next class, study hall, the intercom came on asking for kids out of study hall to go and help Mrs.Kips. Almost all the kids in study hall went including me and Molly.
When we got to Mrs.Kips office, there were tree decorations and wreaths in front of her door. I saw a lot of kids I knew and one of them confused me because he is not in study hall, and that person was Evan.
After Mrs.Kips explained what we were doing, we all started working on putting the tree together, separating the pieces while Evan helped put them on the tree. When we were done with that part, Mrs.Kips asked some of us to go outside and hang wreaths on the building. Evan, me, Molly, William, and Margie volunteered to hang the wreaths outside. She told Evan to use the ladder to hang them up and for Margie to hold the ladder while the rest of us to get the wreaths ready to hang.
When we got half way down Margie had to help William hold the wreath in place and he needed someone to hold the ladder so, I did. When we were done it was almost time for lunch and Mrs.Kips told us that we cold wait in her office since it was next to the cafeteria and it was so close to lunch. Since 9th grade gets to eat before 8th and 7th, Evan got to go get his lunch, he only got raisins and decided to wait with us. When he finished his raisins he threw the box at me so I threw the little box back and it hit him in the face. We kept this up until one time when he threw it at me, it fell on the floor.
"You have to pick it up since it's your trash" I said with a smirk.
"Whatever" he smirked.
The bell rang and I stood up from my seat and started to head to the cafeteria. On my way out door, Evan put the raisin box in my face and I ducked. I just continued walking so, I could get a good spot in line. When I got to my table I hung out with my friends and we talked for the whole lunch hour. The next class I had was science with Mrs.Phel.
Mrs.Phel, my science teacher who gave us a project to do. The project was a famous scientist wanted poster. We had to type it on google docs. I was already finished with it though and only had a few touch ups to do since I did it last night at home as homework. Everyone else was still in the middle of their projects, not even Renee was finished with it which shocked me a whole lot since she always got done before everyone else.
When I finish I just sat at my desk and waited for the bell to ring for 6th hour. That's when the day really started going by fast.
After school I was speed walking though the crowd trying to get to my locker when Evan yelled out....
"Hey Raza wait up I want to talk to you"
"In a minute I really got to get to my locker"
So he followed me to my locker and asked if I needed help and I accepted so he helped me put my binder up, grab my backpack and put some folders in it, and lock my locker. Then we were walking towards the 8th grade hall exit.
"Do you ride the bus?" He asked me probably because of the hurry I was in.
"Yeah, so what did you need?"
"I was wondering if I could ask you a weird question"
"Sure" I said slowly
"Ok, here it goes" he continued "would you date me?"
I almost stopped in my tracks not knowing what he meant.
"I don't know" I didn't know if he was asking me if I would be his girlfriend or if he was asking me if he was boyfriend material.
"You don't know?" He said shocked
"I can have an answer by Monday though"
"Ok, Monday then, see you then"
"Bye"
"Bye, Raza" and I got on the bus and headed home.
For the rest of the week, I had no school because it was Thanksgiving break. Yay. No school, but I would miss my friends and after this break we go to school for another full 3 weeks then we get out until January for Christmas break. Oh what joy it is to have all that time without company.
