Evan is at top!
It has been a week since the breakup(November 20, 2014).
----------------------------------------------------------
It has been one week since the break up, and may I say, it sure has been a weird Thursday. Here I shall catch you up on what went on today (Thursday).
-----------previous hours--------
I was sitting in the lunch room with my gang when Evan, Dylan's friend who is in 9th grade, came and sat next to me in an open seat.
"Hey Raza, are you and Dylan still dating?"
"No," I said wishing he would not remind me.
"How come?" He asked, he frowned his brow.
"I don't know. Go ask him."
"Okay, I'll be right back," he said as he got up and walked over towards where Dylan was sitting, which was three tables ever in his usual spot.
A few minutes later Evan came back with his eyes filled with curiosity.
"He said ask you."
"Well, I wish I did know why, but I really do not. He is the only one who knows," I say kinda quick.
"So you don't know why?" He said lowly.
"Nope and probably never will."
"Wait, he broke up with you for no reason?" Faith interrupted.
"As far as I know."
"Okay, see you later," Evan said then, he was off again.
I saw Evan later on my way out of math and gave him a high five as a greeting.--------------Friday(November 21, 2014)-------------
I was in lunch line in the middle of the end and middle when Evan came up to me.
"Hey Raza."
"Hey."
"Come to the back of the line with me."
I looked back and saw Dylan trying to hide behind the corner. I knew that there was no way that Dylan would tell Evan to come and get me. That is when I knew that Evan set this up.
"No, I am not going back there."
"Why not?"
"Because."
"Because why?"
"Really?" I gave him a are-you-serious face.
"You saw Dylan didn't you," he said more like a statement.
"Yep."
"Dylan get out from that corner," Evan said going back and grabbing Dylan's arm trying to pull him out. I couldn't hear what Dylan was saying back.
"Raza come back here," he said coming back over to me and grabbing my arm, trying pulling me towards Dylan. I was surprised that a football player could not even make me budge an inch. He kept on trying until I said,
"Remove your hand before I punch you."
He looked at me for a second, probably trying to see if it was a empty threat, which it wasn't, before he let go quickly with a shocked face. Ha.
Then, a person next to us was swinging their arms, who turned out to be my friend Hailie, and was so close to hitting Evan in the face. I laughed and patted Hailie on the back.
"You almost hit me in the face." Evan said, his eyes wide.
"But, I didn't and sorry" Hailie said laughing.
"That's funny" I said laughing still.
"You think this is funny" Evan said smiling yet shocked, with his eyes in slits.
"Yeah, I do and if I see something funny, I am not going to hide it."
"It's not funny she almost hit me."
"It is funny."
"No it isn't."
"Yes it is."
"No it isn't."
"Are you flirting with her," the girl next to Hailie asked Evan.
"No, I was trying to get her to forgive my friend."
"Okay, if he does flirt with you let us know," the girl said turning to me.
"Okay."
After that we continued our conversation.
"Please why won't you forgive him"
"Because I am mad at him for the way he broke up with me"
"So? Please forgive him I don't want to pick to hang out between two fighting friends"
"I am not ready to forgive him yet so, can you please drop it?"
"Fine, I'll be right back."
And a few minutes later he did come back.
"Hey, I bet I know your locker number. Locker one something."
"Wrong and I am not telling."
"Oh, then I'm gonna go ask Dylan."
A minute later he came back with a smile on his face.
"Locker 311."
"He really did tell you?"
"Yep and plus, I did see Dylan put some kinda note in your locker."
"Yeah, I got a note from him."
"Was it love note?"
"No."
"Oh."
We got to the cash register and I said bye but he was still inside the lunch doors.
When I sat down with my gang and realized I forgot a fork.
"Hey I am going to go get a fork."
"Okay," they all say in unison.
When I was on my way to get my fork, I saw Evan again and said hey.
-----------after I was done eating----------
"Hey Raza, want to go outside?" Molly asked, which is rare because I'm usually the one to beg her to go hand outside.
"Of corse, If you would just let me go put my tray up," I say as I get up to put up my tray.
"Okay, meet you by the door."
"Okay."
When we went outside, we sat on the bench near the school doors where I began drawing. When I saw I shadow over me. I looked up only to see Evan towering over me with his tall 6'2 frame.
"Hey."
"Hey, are you drawing something else?" He was referring to the first of my drawings he had seen which was a black and white sunset over a prairie.
"Yep, a half sky filled with lightning and the other half filled with hard rain."
"Cool."
He was hitting his knee against my crossed leg. It was starting to annoy me a lot and I couldn't focus.
I looked up and saw him smirking at me
Finally I asked "do you mind?"
"Not at all."
I glared at him a minute then he stopped. For a couple of seconds he continued to watch me in amazement then said "your very good at drawing," before walking back inside.
"I'm not as good as most people though but thanks."
"See you around."
"Yeah see you later."
Then Molly turned towards me and asked me about what just happened, I told her that he was a friend. After that we went inside cause it started to get too cold.(Saturday, November 22, 2014)
I woke up and everyone, except my mom 'cause she was at work, was moving around like they had somewhere to be. I heard my dad on the phone saying "alright love you babe," to most likely my mom on the phone. When I got up I went to my bedroom door, and right when I opened it, my dad was standing there with his fist up about to knock on my door.
"Time to wake up, Raza," he smiled down at me.
"I have been up," I say sleepily
"Oh, okay well I'm going to go visit mom and then go cruzing for a bit."
"Okay, drive safe." I know he was talking about riding his motorcycle.
"Okay, see you later, watch after Ricky." Ricky is my 7 year old brother.
"Okay. Oh yeah, hey dad, can you get us some food. We are low on food."
"We have food."
Then, when he left I started thinking about my life and how it is right now. I thought about Dylan, Evan, Bryce, and even Freddy, a boy I didn't properly meet at a Chinese restaurant.
-----------------2 hours later--------------
Dad came back around 1:40p.m. saying we had a birthday party to go to. The party was Emily's, my dad's friend's daughter, 8th birthday party at party poppers.
We went to Walmart shortly after we found out where we were going. When we were at Walmart to get her a toy, we ran into Freddy and his mom. Freddy and I officially met at a festival where I gave him the nickname of Festive, but he does not know because only me and Faith know.
Freddy's mom works with my dad and that is how we met, became friends, and kept in touch, although he lives in Walnut Ridge, another town 30minutes from mine. When Freddy saw us and left to go get his mom. Then they both came over and said hi. Well, apparently they were also invited to the party and I am guessing it is because Emily's dad also works with my dad and Freddy's mom. They ended up following us there, because they are not use to our town, and we were there for a little bit over three and a half hours. Freddy and I played a couple rounds of checkers and when I won and he would get frustrated because of the way I was always cornering his checker pieces and taking them.
"Stop doing that!!!" He yelled when I made a good move and took not one but two of his pieces.
"Hey, I saw a good opportunity and made it an action. Plus, I gave you so many opportunities and told you, but you said no so, do not get mad at me for your mistake."
"Whatever. Want to race though the tunnel bouncy-house? I bet I would win at that."
"Okay, but good luck," and with that said, we ran other to the bouncy house and got ready to race.
"Ready," I started.
"Set," Freddy continued.
"GO!!" We yelled the last part in unison and started the race.
We were off crawling though the blow up bars, climbing over the wall and down the slide. I won because he lost his footing on the wall and went backwards in slow motioned. It was so hilarious, and even though he said it was not funny, he was smiling and laughing himself.
When we were done racing, we went to the ball machine. I put in a dollar, and tried to get the green, peace sign bouncy ball, but failed and instead I got a plain, red bouncy ball with weird spikes. When it was Freddy's turn he got a green one like my red and a alien one. When he got those he also won me the peace sign one. I was so happy because I really wanted that one.
After we played air hockey and a few other games, we race in the bouncy house again, but this time I went really slow so he would win as a thank you for the ball. But he lost his footing at the wall and when I stopped to wait for him to go down the slide, I fell backwards down the slide making me the "accidental winner". We had fun that night, and I was really tired when it was over and I am sure he was too from all the competitions we had. Haha, I knew then we would be great friends.
