Chapter 6: Who's there?

  After all the classes had finished Touma sent me a message saying that he doesn't have enough time to pick me up.

  The weather does seems to get more cooler than in the morning. I thought it would perhaps be less cold. Thinking about it more I would probably get messed up by the weather.

  I'll try to cover myself up as much as I can. I won't let my guard down.

Yuu: Here have this.

*Airi flinches*

Airi: You scared me!

Then the heat pack caught my sight.

Airi: Are you planning to give this to me?

Yuu: What else am I planning to do?

Airi: Ah Thank you very much I actually really needed it. I'll return it tomorrow morning.

Yuu: No it's fine. I have more at home. Is it ok for me to walk you home?

Airi: Ahh...uh about that I'm not going towards my house. I-I

"Think! Think Airi! Think!"

Airi: I'm going to meet my father in his company.

Yuu: Really? Then it's fine. I'll still go walk with you.

"Why is he so desperate to walk with me? Are humans like this?"

Airi: Ah ok.

[Inside the company]

Yuu: Bye take care.

Airi: You too bye.

Walking in a distance to the lab that is only a few feet away, out of the blue the lights from the hallway shut off.

Airi: Strange-

I heard fast foot steps.

Airi: Who's there?!

I was going to fix my eyes so that way I'll be able to turn on the lights and see my surroundings.

It actually takes time to make the lights appear and I can't keep them on for long or they'll get hot and burn me.

The foot steps that I just heard after the lights went off seem to move more swiftly then before.

In the situation I'm in the atmosphere somehow feels edgy and sketchy. I may not have a clue on what's happening but all I can think of is...

I'm in danger.

Those three words made me more aware of my surroundings and I tried not to make noises because it feels like those steps are coming after me.

Whispers from behind don't sound clear to even be heard. I can't tell if more then one person is here. Thinking about what happened when the employees were talking about it I think I was able to grasp the situation I am in.

They are maybe trying to steal valuable things in the company. If they manage to get through the high securities then the securities won't be found in the building.

A bad timing for the workers to not be here. Every one that is working in this company is currently working on other jobs to provide for the company.

Not a good idea for all of them to go at the same time and day. It would have been better if they did it in different day and time, so the company won't look like it's easy to get in and steal things.
