Chapter 58

"But Renée, I didn't mean it!" Jack pleaded.

"That's not what it looked like!" She screamed at him.

"Baby, can we talk about this." He begs on his knees.

"No! I've herd and SEEN enough. I thought you loved me Jack!" She cries.

"But Ren, I do love you!" A tear slips from Jacks eye and Renée cries harder.

*2 hours earlier*

Jack leaves the Anderson residence a happy man. He strolls into the jeweler and picks out the fanciest ring for his boo. On his way home he texts Renée to meet him at a fancy restaurant down the road from the apt. Renée had still been out with EJ so she said why not.

Jack had made a quick reservation and made sure everything was planned. He runs home to change into black slacks, a maroon button down, black Vans and a black tie. He pretty much matched with Renée, just the way he wanted. He takes a quick shower, then dresses. He hops in his Jeep and buys some flowers for Renée.

He arrived to the restaurant a decent amount of time early. He walked in and just his luck one of his crazy ex fan girlfriend was the hostess. He tried to be nice but she was being to clingy to him. They hadn't talked in almost years.

"I herd about your fame, babe!" She giggles rubbing up on Jack.

"Stephanie, get off." Jack uncomfortably pushes her away but she kept coming back on him.

While Stephanie was pressing against Jack, Renée had walked into the restaurant. Steph had cornered Jack and pressed her lips to his and pulled his arms around her. Renée sees the flowers in his hands and looks at Stephanie who looked dressed up as if she was meeting him, not working.

"Jack?" Renée stands there, tears brimming her eyes. Jack forcefully pulls away and looks at Renée dead in the eye.

"How could you," she whispers and Jack reads her lips coming closer to her, "HOW COULD YOU!" She screams and runs out of there restaurant, Jack following right behind.

She struggles at her car door but fails to open it before Jack comes. Tears are streaming down her face and she shakes. Jack grabs her hands and she rips away.

"How fucking could you!" She cries.

"Baby-"

"That's not what it looked like." She cuts him off beginning to get mad.

"I know but baby, I didn't mean that." He says back.

"That's. Not. What. It. Looked. Like." She says between clenched teeth.

"Can we talk about this?" He pleads.

"I've herd and SEEN enough. I thought you loved me." She begins to cry again.

"But Ren. I do love you. I love you more than anyone could love. I would give my life for you baby. And I would give you anything you wanted whenever you wanted it, because your needs are greater than mine and you deserve to be treated like Queen. You have been put through a lot of heartbreaks and heartache and I don't want that on my baby girl. I'd like to personally beat all those boys, because they're not men, who hurt you. And as long as we're together I'm going to make sure that no one lays a harmful finger on you, as long as I live. Now Renée, if this isn't love... I don't know what is." Jack has a few tears in his eyes and he gets down on one knee, "So Renée, will you be there Queen to my King? The light of my world, and the beauty of my life? Will you marry me??" He pulls out the ring and wipes a tear away.

"Jack!" Renée cries and smiles because she seems to be speechless. He smiles to himself and patiently waits for her to contain herself.

"Yes baby! Yes!" She cries and just about tackles him. He grins and slides the beautiful ring on her finger. He stands up with her in his arms and kisses her passionately.

"I love you!" He whispers in her ear.

"I love you too!" She whispers back and kisses him.
