Chapter 20: Checkmate
(KAYLAS POV)
"We're here, sleepyheads!" Louis' voice rang in my ears as the taxi pulled to a stop in front of the amusement park.
"What?" I cried, before realizing my head has been leaning on Zayn's shoulder.
"Oh, sorry Zayn." I apologized to the boy sitting next to me, who looked like he had just woken up like me.
"No problem." he said sleepily, smiling at me before climbing out of the car with everyone else. As Liam paid the driver, Zayn took my hand and helped me out of the car.
"Thank you, kind sir." I joked, planting a kiss on his cheek. I noticed his cheeks heat up a bit afterwards, but I brushed it aside.
"Anytime, m'lady." he played along with a wink and a fake bow. Laughing, we rejoined the group.
"OOOH rollercoaster! Zayn zayn zayn it's the rollercoaster of life!" Niall cried childishly. Everyone laughed at that, even Zayn.
"Wait, what?" I asked, confused.
"oh, I have this quote that says, 'just close your eyes and enjoy the rollercoaster that is life'." Zayn said with a grin. I nodded and laughed along.
"So zayn, you going to ride the rollercoaster?" Louis asked.
"Er, no. I don't really like rollercoasters." Zayn admitted sheepishly, staring at his shoes.
"Oh, me neither." Harry and I piped up.
"Wait, zayn. You have a quote about rollercoasters, but you don't like them?" Liam raised an eyebrow.
"Shut up." Zayn muttered, waving his hand randomly in Liam's direction to get him to be silent. Zayn, Harry and I walked off to play some games while Louis, Liam and Niall lined up for the rollercoaster.
