When I woke up I felt his presence in my room. He was seated in a chair beside my window with his head in his hands.
"You taking tips from Edward." I said because he was in my room while I was asleep.
"I'm so sorry." He said as he lifted his head.
"I forgive you." I said smoothly. It felt right to forgive him. It felt like a weight lifting off my shoulders.
"You don't understand to the extent of how sorry I am." He said and I gave him a smile.
"Yeah I do because I forgave you." I said.
"You know I love you. I could never not love you." He said and I smiled.
"Well good because I could never not love you either." I said.
"Why are you doing this. Your forgiving me when I can't even forgive myself." He said.
"Because Emmett I was tired of being angry at you for doing something I would do if it were Bella." I said and he looked taken back.
"If Bella needed me to leave I would without a second thought because she's family. You left because you were asked to by your family." I said and he let out a small smile.
"I want you to be my family." He said smiling. "I was gonna do this on your birthday but I knew it wasn't the right time." He said and I looked at him confused.
He pulls a black box out of his pocket and puts it in my hand. When I open it I see a ring.
"Emmett this is a-" I went to say but he cut my off.
"This is a promise. I promise that I will never leave you. A promise that I will always love you." He said and I just jumped up and wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him.
