Third pov:
Today is Namjoons seventeenth birthday, yet only his friends cared, of course. His parents didn't give two fucks about his sons birthday, they didn't even bother to remember it. But on the bright side Namjoon stopped throwing up in the morning, yet it moved to the evening instead.
He threw up after lunch, his friends behind him, Jimin and Hoseok rubbed his back. Namjoon coughed and spat out the bile, scrunching his face in disgust.
He even had to use his five plus years worth of college savings for the doctor appointments. He groaned, leaning back into Hoseok's chest.
"Happy birthday by the way," Yoongi mumbled, making the teen lightly giggle. "Thanks..." he said in a scratchy voice. His face thinned out, he woke up in the nurses office six times in the past two weeks, from fainting.
Namjoon now worked two jobs, and went to school, he was beyond exhausted, going home to hide from his parents was hard enough. Last night he was terrified of his drunk father, who almost raped him when he got home from work. It didn't help that he gets bullied at school, he did before, but it was only name calling, now it suddenly got worse. Made up rumors and now more physical abuse.Namjoon knew he needed to get out of his parents house, but he didn't know how too. He couldn't afford too, plus, he gets similar abuse at school now. He sighed, rubbing his tired eyes.
"Namjoon, you need to eat more, the doctor even said he was worried about your health, you barely gained any weight," Jungkook mentioned in a worried tone. Namjoon shook his head, "According to my parents, I've gained weight, so they cut me down to feeding me once a week.... they even canceled my lunch account, saying that I will bring lunch to school from now on...." the teen grumbled.
Yoongi sighed heavily, "You need to tell the principal about this Namjoon, in the state you're in right now.... we are extremely worried, we don't want you to go through... y-you know what I mean." Namjoons bottom lip trembled, he buried his face into Hoseok's chest, crying softly. Hoseok rubbed his friends back, trying calm his friend down. "We'll figure something out Namjoon, I spoke to my parents and they're willing to help out, even Jimin's, Jungkook's and Yoongi's parents... they're trying to get something situated," Hoseok softly whispered into his friends ear.A week later, Namjoon sat near the window, as usual. Dozing out, staring at the birds flying. He jumped back into reality, hearing his name being called. "KIM NAMJOON!!" The teen glanced at Jin, who was glaring at him. "If you think it's ok to be late to class every other day and dozing off in class. Your other teachers might tolerate it, but I won't, you have detention today and next week after school. Everyday, no exceptions. Now answer the question on the board like I've been asking you to for the past ten minutes." Namjoon read the question and was about to answer it, but a girl next to him, opened a protein bar... a coffee protein bar. The smell hit his sensitive nose, he then felt sick to his stomach, covering his mouth and bolted out of the room. "NAMJOON!! GET BACK IN THIS CLASSROOM NOW!!" Jin groaned in irritation, making a side note to add an extra week of detention.
Namjoon ran into the bathroom across the hall, throwing up for the second time that day. Coughing and spitting out the excess bile, flushing the toilet and standing up with shaky legs. He rinsed his mouth out with water, splashing the cold liquid on his face. He looked at his reflection in the mirror, his face had sunken in, the bags under his eyes shows he hasn't slept in months. And now he has to call his two jobs that are surprisingly very supportive towards him. Telling his managers that he will be a bit late to work for tonight and the next week.
He walked back to class, Jin saw the teens pale face, but pushed it away and didn't think much about it. "You now have two weeks of detention for storming out of class," he said sternly.
Namjoon looked dead in all honesty. He glanced at the board, then back at the teacher, "Egypt..." he mumbled, then walked back to his seat. Not saying another word, everyone looked at him shocked. They had to read and find the answer, but before anyone could raise their hand to answer. Namjoon came back and said it, like his brain was a built in encyclopedia.
The teen glanced back out the window, not paying attention to the whispers around him.The bell rung, everyone stormed out, except for Namjoon. Jin tried to tell him that he's not aloud to have his phone in detention. But Namjoon held up his finger, hearing the line ring.
"Hi miss Lee, I might be showing up a bit late to work today and for the next two weeks....... I got detention......... yes we'll be fine....... you know I can't afford too....... I know, ok bye."
He then hung up, then called his second job, telling his manager the same thing he said to the first one he called. Then tucking his phone in his pocket, but felt it vibrate, it was reminding him to take his iron and prenatal pills. Which he did, Jin looked at him confused. "What? Never seen someone take pills before?" Namjoon snapped out, Jin narrowed his eyes at him. "Don't use that tone with me young man, here, you have an hour to finish the essay, you will write a story for the next two weeks." He stated, handing the teen a prompt.
"Do you mind telling me why you stormed out as well?" The teacher asked in a venom like voice. Namjoon scoffed, "Not like you would care..." he mumbled and began writing.
After an hour passed, Namjoon stood up and handed the finished paper to the teacher. Then left, not saying another word.
