Garnet, just now having had enough of me constantly heading back up the hill that both Pearl and I were on, made her way over towards the two of us and stopped in front of me, her arms crossed.

I turn towards her and apologize to her for the third time in a row. She chooses to not accept it this time, instead tipping her glasses to glare at me. I just stared at her, dumbfounded.

"Garnet..." I say out of confusion. "What's that face for?"

"You know exactly what this face is for." Garnet grumbles in response.

"Garnet, I said I was sorry." I say a fourth and hopefully final time. "I have just one question for you." Garnet's anger towards me fades but it is clear that the cross-Gem fusion is still a little annoyed with me.

"What is it..."

"I just want to know why I, as a totally normal Quartz Gem, am just now suddenly thinking about the Diamonds?" I say as I scratch my head.

Garnet tips her glasses forwards a little bit as she looks into the future and thinks up an answer to my question. "Not even I know why you're suddenly thinking about the Diamonds right now, Rose. I'm sorry."

I looked sad at this. Why didn't Garnet even know why I was thinking about the other Diamonds. "Thanks anyway." I say, turning around to head back up the hill. I just needed a moment to sit down and think to myself.

"Wait." Garnet calls out, stopping me from walking. I turn and face her again, a sad look still in her eyes. "Rose, why are you thinking about the Diamonds?"

I just stared at her. Did she find out the truth. I hoped she didn't. If she did, I'd be really mad with her.

All I could say in response was "I...uh."
