We walked to school and on our way there we saw Ryota walking there as well so we decided to talk to him on the way inside but I stopped in my tracks causing both Ryota and Yumeko to stop and look in front of me in confusion 'this is interesting' I thought as I looked at Mary standing there looking down at her desk which had insults written all over it and a small doll of Mary with the head detached and a tag similar to the one Ryota was previously wearing but I didn't see any sign of Jack anywhere. "Mary what happened here?" Yumeko asked Mary as she walked up to her followed by me and Ryota "shut up!" She yelled as I walked in between of Mary and Yumeko defensively "I'm only like this because of you two!" She yelled with anger laced in her voice "come on mittens why dont you put your nametag on" one of our classmates snickered "mittens! Mittens! Mittens!" The class chanted as Mary put on her nametag and I looked around the class with a neutral face.
~Time Skip~
At lunch me, Yumeko and Ryota sat together with each other "what happened to Mary isn't your fault. It's just the way things are here" Ryota stated reassuringly but I couldn't care less about Mary at the moment "what do you mean?"Yumeko asked as I sipped my tea then put it down "see a lot of students here come from prominent or critical business families and if your going to hold away over others you need some real skill. Negotiating the ability to read people not to mention how to come through when it counts" Ryota explained "oh" Yumeko stated in realization "that's why it's like this. The best gamblers rule over everyone else and the hierarchy is real specific. Donations are made to the student council that determines your rank and if your in the bottom 100 of the student body your named a student with uncooperative tendancies. A house pet. If your a boy they call you Fidoh and if your a girl mittens" Ryota explained which intreagued me "oh so that means you" Yumeko stated "yeah...but thanks to a million yen I managed to get it revoked. Thanks to you two" Ryota replied gratefully "well I suppose congratulations are in order" Yumeko stated happily as she lightly elbowed me "yeah congratulations" I groaned in annoyance "but truly thank you" Ryota added as I heard someone grunt and when we looked over I saw some kid that got knocked over as some other kids laughed at him and he scrambled to pick up the things he had dropped "believe it or not it didn't use to be this bad. It happened right after the current student council president took office" Ryota added a little sadly "Kirari Momobami" Ryota stated which caused me to freeze "(Y/n) are you okay?" Yumeko asked me as I jumped "oh uh...yeah I'm fine" I said absentmindedly 'I sit next to the schools president!?' I thought as I noticed a girl walk over to Yumeko with blonde hair, blue eyes and pink nails "Yumeko-senpai. It's great to meet you. I'm Itsuki Sumeragi, I'm in flower class year one. I'm very pleased to make your acquaintance" Itsuki said as looked at Yumeko "uh it's nice to meet you I mean-" Ryota started but Itsuki cut him off "senpai you and (Y/n) have become the talk of the town. I heard you both wiped the floor with Mary-senpai on your very first day" Itsuki stated enthusiasm "I'm pretty impressed with my own gambling skills so I thought It'd be fun to y'know see how we stack up" Itsuki stated as she looked at me curiously for a brief second then focused her attention back towards Yumeko "I'd love to!" Yumeko stated as she giggled slightly "but Yumeko-" Ryota tried to say but Itsuki blocked him out of the conversation "now that's what I like to hear" Itsuki stated with a smile "will you be joining us (Y/n)-senpai?" Itsuki asked as she turned to me "unfortunately I won't be participating in this gamble" I replied with a neutral face "that's a shame" Itsuli replied as she started walking over to where they were supposed to gamble followed by me and Ryota. "So let's talk about the game we're gonna play" Itsuki stated as I leaned on a railing "how do you feel about double concentration?" Itsuki added as I noticed the giant crowd of people gathering in the cafeteria watching the gamble that's taking place "as the name implies we'll use two decks. In normal concentration it's a match if two numbers are the same but here it doesnt count unless the suit is the same too. There is going to be twice as many cards but for each theres only one that actually matches" Itsuki explained "wow that sounds like quite the challenge. I'm happy to play!" Yumeko responded "well great. Now about how many we're going to wager" Itsuki stated as she placed two chips that were 20 million yen on the table "we're going to use 21 million yen issued by the council" Itsuki stated "how about 20 million yen?" Itsuki stated as made a peace sign with her hand "I'm so sorry but unfortunately I just dont have nearly that much money on hand. I couldn't possibly raise 20 million yen" Yumeko stated sadly "huh?" Itsuki said with a confused tone in her voice as she lowered her hand "you dont seem like the kind of person who would just throw cash around or perhaps you had a few debts to pay pay off" Itsuki stated as Yumeko looked at Ryota "u-uh sorry about that" Ryota stated guiltily as I got off of the railing and I put my hand on his shoulder in a comforting way and I think it helped because he smiled at me "hey theres no need to worry I'll happily lend you the money with no interest" Itsuki stated as she held up 2 fingers and an okay sign with her other hand "but why? What's the point then?" Ryota asked confused "to be honest 20 million is basicly pocket change for me theres far more value in everyone taking some interest in the cards my father's company makes" Itsuki replied "guess it's kinda my pr duty" Itsuki added "in that case I'd be grateful if you'd lend me the money" Yumeko stated as Itsuki shifted her attention back towards Yumeko "alright then let's get ready to gamble" Itsuki stated happily "I'm going to break open two brand new packs for this particular match" Itsuki stated as she pulled out two packs "Raclette is the leading product" Itsuki stated turning her attention towards a camera "actually the second most popular brand in all of Japan. Raclette, always fits your hand like a glove so go out and pick up a deck" Itsuki stated into a camera "she really likes advertising her fathera company" I stated annoyed as Yumeko giggled slightly and I noticed Kirari Momibami in the crowd that was watching us then the game was set up "double concentration. Let the game begin" Itsuki stated as she put her hands behind her back "please senpai you may make the opening move" Itsuki stated as she gestured towards Yumeko "oh my how very kind" Yumeko stated with a smile as she thought about her move "no point in hesitating on the first move right" Yumeko stated as I noticed someone tap my shoulder and when I looked at who it was it was the girl that was accompanying Kirari "come with me" she whispered as she gestured for me to follow her and I did as I was told. She led me to a giant room with big fish tanks on either side of the room with a small table and someone sat there and it was none other than the student council president Kirari Momobami "welcome (Y/n)" Kirari stated as my heart started to pound against my chest but I dont know why my heart was racing "come sit" she gestured towards the chair on the other side of table as I walked over to it and sat down leaning back in it slightly "who's that?" I asked gesturing towards the black haired girl "her name is Sayaka" Kirari stated as Sayaka stood beside the president "now how about a gamble (Y/n)?" Kirari asked although it seemed more of a suggestment "what's the catch" I replied suspiciously "there isnt a catch (Y/n) just a friendly gamble" Kirari stated 'some things up' I thought suspiciously "no more questions?" Kirari asked as I stayed silent "good now let the gamble begin" Kirari stated with a smirk
~Time skip to after the gamble~
'I lost...' I thought as I looked at Kirari and Sayaka with a neutral face "that was a fun gamble" Kirari stated with a smirk "we should do this again sometime" she stated as she got up along with Sayaka and walked over towards me. Sayaka and Kirari going to my right as Kirari turned my head to look at her and kissed me as my eyes were wide open with shock but she pulled away and looked at me in the eyes as Sayaka did too "(Y/n) you should be our girlfriend" Kirari stated as Sayaka had a blush on her face causing her to look away from me "h-how do you know" I replied shocked as I was referring to me being a girl "we have files on you (Y/n)" Kirari stated as I stood up "what else do you know about me" I replied anxiously "we also know that you have wolf ears and a tail" Kirari stated with a smirk "i-i should probably get back before the others start to notice" I replied as I quickly changed the subject "I suppose your right we dont want people becoming suspicious now" Kirari stated "you should come over to my house after school (Y/n)" Kirari stated as she handed me a slip of paper "this is mine and Sayakas phone numbers so you can call us anytime" Kirari stated as I took the paper and put it in my pocket as I started to walk towards the doors that led out of there "see you after school (Y/n)~" Kirari cooed as I blushed slightly walking out of there but I realized I didnt pay any attention to where Sayaka was taking me so I tried to find my way around and I managed to get back to the cafeteria just when the gamble had ended. After school had ended me and Yumeko started to walk down the stairs together "wait your not done?" Ryota asked as he walked up behind us causing us to turn around to face him "no stopping now would be like stopping a train there more I mean you told me yourself right?" Yumeko stated as she looked at him with an adorable face "so where do we go? Better yet why dont you come with me" Yumeko stated with a smile as Ryota gave in and joined us as we walked towards the traditional culture research club "our esteemed guests you have come at a good time as there is a official match in progress" the girl in front of the door to the club told us with a smile "would you care to come inside and observe the proceedings?" She asked "I'm sorry an official match" Yumeko stated as she looked at the girl confused and we walked inside to see Mary gambling a person with their eyes closed "the ruling is death. Mary you now stand in 49.6 million yen of debt. The match has ended" the girl that was doing the game stated "49 million!?" Ryota stated surprised "we will be contacting you at a later date in regards for the payment methods. You may show the lady outside. I have no use for her" the woman stated as she looked at her assistant I'm assuming then Mary started yelling in anger and sadness mixed together.
