"I don't understand why you want to take a solo mission"
"I need something to distract me for the time being" Naruto said trying to explain to Lady Tsunade "is there something going on?" Tsunade asked "it's not really important" Naruto said looking away from her "are you sure you're ready for a solo mission?" Tsunade asked curiously
"Without a doubt" Naruto said with a smirk "does Sasuke know about this?" Tsunade said crossing her arms
Lady Tsunade knows about how close Sasuke and Naruto are and how Sasuke can be pretty overprotective. Tsunade knows Sasuke wouldn't want anything bad to happen to Naruto, so she wanted to see if Sasuke approved of Naruto's request
"Yeah..."
"Are sure?"
"Please granny Tsunade" Naruto asked with a blank tone ".....fine" Tsunade said with a sigh, pulling a scroll from aside
"Earlier this afternoon I was messaged by the Mizukage of the village hidden in the mist that a mysterious masked shinobi has been seen lurking around their village, with a leaf head band. I believe that because of this....it's possible they're a missing nun from our records and a dangerous one. They asked for us to take care of it, for this reason exactly, I was going to give this mission to Gaara's team...but why not, your mission is to go to the village hidden in the mist and find out who this person is, you have permission to take them out if necessary" Tsunade said unsure "you have one week to prepare for your mission, this mission can take up to 2 weeks...if more time is needed, let me know ASAP

"Mmh" Naruto said as he walked towards the door
"Naruto"
"Yes"
"Are you sure you want-
"I'll be fine granny"

~~Naruto POV~~
"Should I do this?" I asked myself "we just need something to hold our mind for the time being" I said out loud to myself "a distraction from...him" I thought as I finally realize tears were running down my face
"...."
"Why is love so painful!" I screamed in anger and pain
===Normal POV===
Naruto cried himself to sleep that night, thinking about (you know who) why the person he liked didn't like him the same way and basically USED him.

"Gaara have you seen Naruto"
"I was going to ask you the same question" Gaara asked confused "maybe he's sick" Kiba Said with an unsure shrug "but Naruto's not one to get sick" Sasuke said "t-true, I've never s-seen him sick" Hinata said adding on "well the day is half way over....I'll just go by his house later and check on him" Gaara said calmly "he better not do anything" Sasuke thought to himself, giving Gaara a glare "whatever" the raven said blankly
~~~After School~~~
==At Naruto's house==
"Naruto?!"
"Who is it?"
"Gaara"
"Do you need something" Naruto said as he opened the door "to check on you" Gaara said walking past Naruto to sit on coach "I'm fine Gaara" Naruto said sitting next to him
"How come you didn't come to school?"
"....."
"Helloooo?"
"...a reason"
"Don't start that Naruto" Gaara said looking at Naruto, turning his head "I don't want to say" Naruto said quietly "Naruto" Gaara said putting his hand on Naruto's face and gently pushing it to face him "you can tell me anything" Gaara said softly, making Naruto blush hard "just talk to me...please" Gaara said with a small, cute smirk
"...ok" Naruto said with a sigh "just promise not to tell no one...especially Sasuke" Naruto said "is everything ok?" Gaara asked with worry "just promise" Naruto said "...promise" Gaara said with a sigh
"....I'm preparing for a mission"
"Oh" Gaara said with chuckle "but Sasuke and Sakura still came to school though" Gaara said "that's the thing" Naruto said looking away "I'm not going with them"
"Did Lady Tsunade want specific people or something" Gaara said "No" Naruto said "then who are you going with?" Gaara asked confused
"it's a...solo mission" Naruto said softly
After a long silence, Naruto looked up to see Gaara face stunted, he couldn't tell if he was angry or upset
"Gaara"
"Just promise me you'll be careful" Gaara said with a tiny sigh, putting his hand back on Naruto's face "..please" Gaara said looking Naruto in his eyes

"I can't prom-
"Promise me now Naruto or I'll go tell Sasuke right now!"
.....
"...Gaara" Naruto said disbelief in his voice
"...please" Gaara said basically sounding desperate
They both stayed in the position of being so close to each other's face, their noses were practically touching "Gaara" Naruto said leaning in, when he saw Gaara doing the same. At the very moment without either of them realizing it, they were kissing
Gaara finally realized what was happening and pulled back, with a slight blush "I-I'm sorry Naruto" Gaara said facepalming himself "I-It's fine" Naruto said daydreaming at Gaara blushing "did I just enjoy that" Naruto thought to himself
"I'll just head home now" Gaara said embarrassed "I'll see later" he said rushing towards the door
"Gaara"
"yeah"
"...I promise" Naruto said with bright smile and a small giggle
"Bye Naru-sama"
"Bye"
~~~The Next Day~~~
"Where were you yesterday?!"
"I just wanted to stay home" Naruto said rubbing the back of his head "whatever dobe" Sasuke said "you still should of told me" Sasuke said with a sigh and a little bit of anger in his voice "I wasn't thinking teme" Naruto said "like that's something new" Sasuke said "so funny" Naruto said also rolling his eyes
"H-Hey Naruto"
"H-Hey Gaara" Naruto said with a smile, getting one back in return "I'll see you guys after class, Naruto said walking away
~~~Later~~~
"Hey Naruto"
"What's up Sakura"
"I-I" Sakura said stopping herself "is everything ok Sakura?" Naruto said getting confused "C-Can we go somewhere...private" Sakura said quietly, cause the group was near "sure" he said following her

"Is something wrong" Naruto said once they got far enough "I-I..." Sakura said as her eyes began to tear up "i won't tell no one...just tell me" Naruto said trying to comfort her
"y-you know how me and S-Sasuke" Sakura said stuttering "yeah" Naruto said concern "w-well" Sakura said giving Naruto a look that told him everything, he just stood there in shock

"D-Don't tell me" Naruto said looking at Sakura
She then gave him a nod, as in a "yes"
