Chapter 11

"This should be good" Sakura said securing the ice onto Naruto's ankle "Are you comfortable?" She questioned " yeah, I'm fine...thanks" Naruto said with sorrow, clear as daylight in his voice "There's no need to be so down Naruto.." Sakura softly spoke "I know!" He laughed, obviously trying to hide the emotion in his voice "Naruto it's okay to-"

"You should head back to your room and get some sleep...there's no point in trying to cope with him when he's being stubborn" Sasuke coldly said, meeting Sakura's gaze "...okay" Sakura got up from her spot, walking over to the door "I'll see you tomorrow Naruto and....Sasuke" She said turning her head to walk out "I could join you now if you want" He smirked "uh....no thanks" Was the last thing she said before closing the door, leaving the two boys alone in a room, where the tension was so thick, you could cut it with a kunai

They sat in the uncomfortable silence for who knows how long before Sasuke grew tired of this very quickly, especially because "awkward silences" weren't a normal thing to have with the blond. So the Uchiha finally broke the disturbing silence with "you're acting like a baby more than usual dobe" he sighed "Not that I really care or anything, but..is everything alr-" he was cut off by "if this is your way of trying to make conversation, you're doing a real crappy job" Naruto stated refusing to make eye contact with the raven "I'm already mad at myself as it is, I don't need and personally, wouldn't be able to handle anymore crap, so just shut up and go to sleep" he spat with an empty tone, before returning his gaze back outside of the nearby window

"...whatever dobe"

•••• Next Day••••

"Are you sure you're okay dummy?"

"Yeah it's manageable Sakura-chan and plus it doesn't hurt as much as it did before anyways" Naruto said cheekily "Are you seriously good uratonkashi? We don't have time for you being stub-" "I said I'm fine teme" Naruto said with a little bit of annoyance "whatever" Sasuke mumbled while walking out their room

*Once at the Gate*

"You two seem more at each other's throats than usual, did something happen?"

"It's nothing...let's just get the scouting for today out of the way" Sasuke said walking away, putting his hands in his pockets "same time as always". "Okay?" Sakura said questionably, turning to face Naruto "Oi Naruto!" she screamed, running, holding her belly, to catch up with Naruto, who was walking ahead "Yes Sakura-chan?" Turning his head "slow down idiot!"

"Oh yeah..sorry"

-1 hour later-

"Do you need a break Sakura-chan?"

"Um..that would be nice" She panted in reply "let's sit under the tree, so you can lean back against it" Naruto suggested, walking over to the big tree, just near an old bridge

After only resting for what felt like 10mins, Naruto got a weird feeling in his gut

"Are those chakra signals" He jumped up thinking to himself "I don't see anyone..it's definitely not Sasuke" Naruto looked around anxiously. At that very moment he got a-  "SAKURA! WATCH OUT!"

"Huh-"

Naruto jumped in front of her with his kunai, barely making it in time. If he was even a millisecond late, the huge flying blade would've taken her head off. Taking him off guard, the blade comes flying back, cutting his face "Naruto!" Sakura yelped

Licking the blood that his blade collected "Mmm~ the curse is already in place" the guy hummed with a seductive smirk

"What the hell!" Naruto growled in the direction of the person who threw the huge blade "let's experience this pleasurable pain together, shall we!" The man laughed like a mad man before taking a sword of some sort out of his robe and stabs himself in the shoulder with it " hahaha!"
