After I got dressed in my sweats, I came downstairs to hear Trey on the phone. "No, do you need me up there?" I sat beside him listening to the conversation. "I'm with my girl, so she's coming with me, if that's cool?" I looked at him crazy. "Alright, I'll be up there with the medicine." Trey got up and slid his phone in his pocket.
"Whats going on?" I said looking up to him. "Shai is vomiting really bad, the baby has been making her weak lately." I frowned. "I'm sorry to hear that but, why do I have to go up there with your baby mama?" Trey sighed. "Look, I want y'all to get along, don't forget you the child's step mother so you two must have some type of agreement." I rolled my eyes "Ugh, fine Trey, I'll go but! if she slip off at the mouth I might have to fuck her up." Trey smiled as I stood up. "Oh lord, keep yo distance." He kissed my cheek. I slid my flip flops on then Trey suddenly pulled my hand leading me out the house.
While we was in the car my favorite song came on by Color me badd. Trey laughed as I sung along to the song. "I wanna sex you up!" I yelled laughing at myself. Trey shook his head and bopped his head along singing it back. I missed these times, It seemed like forever driving. "Trey where in the hell do she live?" Trey turned to me a little. "Uhh Mid-Virginia, we almost there baby." He said puckering his lips, I popped his lips and smiled.
1 hour later -
We pulled up to the store, "What we need from here?" I said looking over to Trey. "Medicine for her, but the thing is, I can't be going up in that store. Them girls gone chase my ass down." I smiled and shook my head. "I got it Trey, and don't worry about paying for it.. I got that too." Trey kissed me then I headed into the store.
I was skimming the shelves looking for medicines for vomiting and morning sickness. I went over to the Pharmacist. "Hello, I was wondering if you had medicines for morning sickness and vomiting?" The pharmacist walked from the counter and led me to medicines. "Are you pregnant?" He asked looking over to me. I laughed "No, no... noooo my step child's mother is." He smiled, his smile was perfect. "Aw, that's pretty sweet." I chuckled. "Alright, so." He said picking out the medications best, Honestly, the pharmacist was cute, but I ain't going to date no damn Pharmacist, the fuck.
"Ah, so for morning sickness she could get the B-6 vitamins, it help with the baby and the morning sickness." I nodded. He stood up with another bottle in his hand. "And for vomiting she could probably use Nyquil, or this which is Benadryl, but I prefer the Benadryl because it's safer for the baby." I nodded. "Thank you, I guess I'll get the B6 vitamins, and the Benadryl." He nodded, "Good choices."
I began to walk away but was stopped by the Pharmacist. "Hey, I know this is a little weird but.. could I.. get your number?" I thought about it. "Uh.. yeah yeah." He pulled out his phone giving it to me, I dialed my number and called myself. "See you around sometime." He said walking away smiling. I shook my head and went to the register to pay for all of this.
Once I paid for it all, I went to the car and hopped in. "Took you long enough." Trey said looking at me. "Boy, I was looking out for ya baby mother, I got a Pharmacist to make sure I was getting things to benefit her and the baby." Trey smiled. "Awww look at you coming around." I shook my head at him and the thoughts of the Pharmacist.
We pulled up to a house, and I began to feel awkward. "You coming in?" Trey said looking over to me. "I have no choice, you'd make me if I didn't." Trey snickered, "Ya damn skippy." I jumped out and allowed Trey to go first. When he knocked on the door, I saw a light come on, then the door soon swung open.
"Oh!" The voice said interrupting my vibe. "Uh, Shai this is my girl Jordin, Jordin this is my baby mother Shai." I smiled. "Hey." I said giving her a slight hug. "Um Hey, come in." She invited us in, surprisingly she is nice so far. "Jordin went in and brought your medicines for you, cause knowing me I would've picked up a laxative or sum shit." I laughed and so did Shai. "You do damn stupid." Shai said sighing. She went into the kitchen, but coming back out with a glass of water.
When she sat down she stared at Trey and I, "I'm sorry." She said out the blue, Trey sighed. "Stop apologizing, it's not your fault." I looked at the both of them. "Look, i'm not mad.. but i'm not happy neither. Sure, I'm excited for you two, but I also feel like Trey was suppose to have his first kid with me." Shai nodded. "I fully understand you, I apologize for that." I slightly smiled. "When I heard about it, I was hurt but I mean, all I can do is support you guys and wish you the best." Trey looked over to me. "You feel like that?" I nodded, "I mean yeah, I would hope she felt the same for us.." Shai nodded. "Of course.. I definitely do support you guys, I just don't know why God made the journey this way." I smiled and agreed.
His baby mama ain't so bad, but I gotta keep my eyes on her, just because she seem nice don't mean she the same behind closed doors, nor does it mean she's the same when Trey's not around.
