Chapter 24 : Months Later

I was laying in bed doing my homework and Trey called. Trey and I have been pretty distant over the past few months. Every now and then he calls to check up on me. It's been about 5 months now and it's been rocky. I still think about him and his smile, I answered the call and smiled.

Phone Conversation.

"Hello?"

"Hey J, whats up?" He said happily.

"This homework. Luckily school is almost over." I said smiling.

"Uh oh, my shawty graduating soon."

I shook my head. "Yeah, you're right."

"Hey, I was actually calling to see if you can come up here and attend Shai's baby shower?"

I sighed, I still don't like her. But I can't say no just because I don't like her.

"Yeah... Yeah.. when Is it?" I said rubbing my face.

"Next weekend.. I will see if I can fly out there this week though. I gotta spend some time with you... If thats straight with you?"

I smiled, but frowned. "I don't know Trey.. I don't need for us to get attached. You with Shai..." I said sighing.

"It's alright J, I promise I will try to not let my feelings get in the way."

I smiled. "Alright Trey, just be ready to hear about my problems."

"I'm always ready for you girl." He said into the phone

I laughed. "Alright well let me get back to this homework, I'll talk to you later."

"Ok ma, I love you..."

I sighed. "You too. Bye."

I hung up and sighed, I can't catch feelings for him again. He's with shai, they're together happily and I don't want nothing to do with it. Yeah, you heard me correctly, Trey engaged Shai... guess he was really over me.

I sighed and closed my psychology book and headed downstairs to see Karis with her boo. "Hey girl." I said smiling and going into the kitchen. "Heyyyyy bitcccccchhh." She yelled from the living room. "Where déjà ghetto ass?" I said walking back into the living room with a bottled water in my hand. "I don't even know, she ain't been home in two days but she called me earlier. She sounded bout happy as fuck."

"She got some good dick, thats probably what it was." I said laughing. Karis boyfriend turned to Karis then me. "Shit Karis bouta catch some of this good dick if she keep fuckin' around." I bursted out in laughter "Josh shut the fuck upppp." I said catching my breath and turning my heels towards the stairs. "Aight y'all I'm going upstairs to finish this homework."

"Jo, your ass look flee as fuck in them shorts!" Karis yelled. I laughed and twerked on the stairs. Josh eyes widened and he licked his lips. I shook my head and headed into the bedroom to finish this long ass homework.

Trey POV

After getting the phone with J, I started going into deep thought. I laid on the bed and looked at the ceiling. I miss her, I ain't never think I'd lose her for my mistakes. But it was my decision and I can't get her back. But it won't keep me from trying.

Shai's voice lingered throughout the house. She yelled from downstairs and I walked downstairs. "What's up?" I said going over to her. "Destiny and I want some ice cream." She said rubbing her tummy. "Aw hell naw, we ain't naming her Destiny. Can it be Jenai or sum?" She looked up at me and rolled her eyes. "She likes destiny better." I sighed "alright whatever, but if I find a cuter name then we keeping it."

I went into the kitchen and grabbed her a tub of vanilla ice cream with a medium sized spoon. I brought it to her and she smiled. "Thanks Trey. Destiny, daddy brought us Ice cream." She said rubbing her belly and smiling. Moments like this make me forget about Jordyn.

While I was going upstairs, Shai's phone rang. I went back down the stairs and grabbed it from the counter. I answered it.

Phone Conversation:

"Hello?"

"Ay, who this?" I heard a deep voice from the other end of the phone.

Shai looked at me worried. "This is Shai fiancè is Shai who you want to speak to?"

"Yeah, give her the phone nigga."

I clenched my jaws and kept my cool.

I handed Shai the phone "some nigga want you." I said walking away.

I walked halfway up the stairs but I heard her whispering, the fuck she whispering for? I just continued my way up the stairs and planned on this Celeb basketball game coming up in two days.
