Levy's POV
Soon it was the next day.
Activities were about to start! But I was more pumped up about reading Wings of Fire than actually doing the activities.
The new girl Lucy was really excited.
Maybe I should go talk to her! I do have Jet and Droy, but you can't have too many friends, right? But can I talk to her?
Eventually, I worked up the confidence to talk to her during lunch.
"Hey, you are Lucy, right?" I smiled.
Lucy looked surprised. "Yes. Your name is...Levy?"
"You got that right! Ding ding ding! Levy McGarden!" I replied, a little unsure whether that reply was necessary.
Lucy laughed. "You sure love to read. You have been reading Wings of Fire...book seven...Escaping Peril for the whole day now."
Is she judging or is she curious? What should I say?
"Yeah...I love reading. It's my favorite thing! So far I really like the series focusing on Peril. Oh! You probably don't know what I'm talking about! Sorry..."
"It's fine. You know...I don't know if I should admit this...but I'm writing a novel," Lucy told me.
Wow, she's friendly...
"Awesome! When you finish it could you show it to me first, Lu-chan?" I asked.
Is Lu-chan the right thing to be calling her?
"Sure...just don't tell anyone," Lucy replied.
"Okay," I smiled.
"Hey, Levy! Who are you talking to?" a voice from behind me said.
I turned. "Oh, hey Jet and Droy! I'm just talking to the new girl, Lucy! Hey, Lu-chan, meet my friends, Jet, and Droy!"
Somehow I knew that Lucy and I were going to be great friends.
