the coach looked at me funny "what do you mean?" he asked, still looking at me "well" axle began looking at me "this is Madison Maxwell our old linebacker," I stood there staring blankly at nothing, "pppppht what girl can't be a linebacker!" some boy said "Powell laps now!" coach barked "ms.." "Maddy" I finished for him "Maddy Maxwell!" "well, Maddy would you like to be on our team?" "Ummm I gue-" I was cut off by another boy "we'll take er" he yells I look back at ash and he shrugs "let me finish my stuff and I'll come back for you" I conclude "now the real reason I'm here is I need photos for the yearbook and any special events!" the coach nods sending the boys off doing laps, "so, he askes, didya ever co-coach" "yep," I say "go givem hell" he winks.
I flop back onto my bed thinking about the day before and I look at the words imprinted on my arm im Quinn is this guy seems polite I bet there handsome. with that thought, I drift off to sleep. when I wake up my sister is banging pots and pans together and flitter is getting everywhere. I look up at the galaxy painted ceiling and groan, throw on jeans and a t-shirt throw my now-blond hair up into a bun I think ... it's super misshapen and weird, I slip on some flats grab an apple and start my walk to school. as I'm about to enter the building there's a motorcycle that comes up from behind me the girl? takes off her helmet and smiles at me, I know I flushed a dark red she walks over and i look around for an escape, " I'm Quinn" she says "uh i uh" i clear my throat "i-im Maddy" she smiles again and I look away "see ya around mads" she winks and walks off away from anyone else. "eeee oh my god with a capital G" ava squeals "the school's lone wolf talked to you wow" i raise my eyebrow at her and laugh "come on lets go to class"
