I guess you wanted to know the end to my last chapter. Well. The word is lovers. Tundra and I grew close. Neither of us would admit that we liked each other for the longest time. We feared rejection that would obviously not happen.

Sled dogs was quite peaceful for my first few months. The most drama was formed between Snowy and Via. Their friendship shattered quite suddenly. I publicly chose neither side. Secretly I would side with each of them. Better to have friends than enemies.

One dog seemed to bring chaos with her to sled dogs. Her beige upper coat and white undercoat seemed quite simple and innocent. Her sapphire blue eyes twinkled in the northern lights.

Sapphire.

She was a good sled dog, very fast. But she had to be disciplined into staying in order during team runs. She was quite stubborn and headstrong. Otherwise she was one of the most determined sled dogs I've yet to see. Beside her order problems, she reminded me of myself when I first started.

The glares started when Snowy left me in charge for my first time ever. Honestly, I was nervous. Sapphire was determined to tear me down once Snowy had left. There was a lot of bickering.

Let's just say I snapped.

"You need to learn what respect is! You'll never be a good sled dog until you do!" I shouted.

"Snowy is so much better than you'll ever be!" Sapphire retorted.

"Well sorry she has a hundred times more experience leading a team on her own than I do!"

"Yeah! And it shows!"

"You'd understand if she liked you enough to put you in charge!"

"Well she should have!"

The screaming and shouting went on until she finally agreed to try and be respectful. After all, she wanted to be the best sled dog the world had ever seen.

We grew close after that. Mostly. I warned her about Snowy but she brushed me off. All her denial lead to a war when she had to learn the hard way. Snowy just couldn't be trusted. She would smile and act sweet but she was unpredictable.

I'd soon learn that making everyone my friend would backfire on me. The pressure would become unbearable.
