Sometimes I forget about things that can't be forgotten,
Like destiny or death,
Like life or luck.
Sometimes I forget about things that shouldn't be forgotten,
Like emotions or touch,
Like sanity or insanity.
Sometimes I forget about things that will be forgotten,
Like my childhood or math,
Like history or language.
Sometimes I forget about things while they're happening,
Like construction or chores,
Like conversations or lessons.
Sometimes I don't forget about things I want to forget,
Like fear or pain,
Like sadness or guilt.
Sometimes, I forget everything.
Other times, I remember everything.
