Shindou Yo a second-year student at Ketsubetsu did love his schemes. But trying to lure UA's first years into a false sense of security. Had almost been too easy. That was until he tried to reach, out toward Bakugou Katsuki only to have his handshake rejected. Watching the very same blond across the hall they were in. Waiting for instructions of the provisional license exam, it was something in that red-eyed gaze.

Judging, on guard almost akin to jealousy? But why? Bakugou didn't have a romantic significant other. The explosive blond did not appear like the type to get jealous for no particular reason. Or did the blond have someone in the group he'd just shook hands with? Maybe that girl with the ear-jacks quirk. "What was her name again...? Jiro? Kind of cute I guess if that's his type. Maybe that other blond or is he into redheads?" Shindou muttered. Or much to his classmate's questioning glances.

Though Nakagame stared at him like he'd lost his mind. He could think about this later, now they had an exam to pass. Everything up until this point had gone according to his plan. Separating the UA students, complete. Creating a little chaos for the other participants, just a little shake on the ground.

The second half had been slightly more difficult and his caring plan according to the added set of villains during a terrorist attack. Was utterly destroyed when that little Midoriya from UA decided that he Shindou Yo needed to be saved. It was fairly annoying even if it had not truly stopped him from passing the last part of the exam. And acquiring his well-earned provisional-hero-license. Now he was one step closer to becoming a hero, another step in the right direction to become a professional hero.

Shindou walked up to the vending machine outside the arena. The bus back to the Academy would be here in another thirty or so minutes. That's when he caught the sight of the UA school uniform and one angry blond. "Damn it! I failed...I'm not supposed to fail." Bakugou cursed under his breath. His right foot kicking up pebbles from the asphalt. That slid against the vending machine. Another thing to add to his list of failures since the school year started.

Well, everything that had gone wrong since Deku broke up with him. Deku keeping secrets, being better than him. Still trying to challenge him. And now he failed his first try at the provisional hero license exam. Shindou approached the younger teen and smiled.

Once their eyes met Bakugou fixed the older teen with a glare. "No need to give me that kind of look. You're still fresh meat Bakugou, you'll get another shot in a few months time." Shindou consoled. Brown eyes, inclined to watch the growing tension in the blond's shoulders.

"Tch, you don't get it." Katsuki bit out, he did not trust this shady jerk. This Shindou Yo who wore a mask and gave, the others a false sense of security. The way Deku looked at him... The blond bitterly thought to himself. He shouldn't get this coil of jealousy, Deku wasn't his anymore even if it had been close to a year, Well, over a year since Deku ended all they had. And now Katsuki had failed spectacularly at the one thing that would bring him one step closer to becoming a hero. The last way to prove to Deku, that it had been a mistake to break up with him in the first place.

"Oh yeah? You seem pretty bothered by it when you got more than one chance to re-take it. It's a tough competition Bakugou. UA has the disadvantage of being exposed not only on national television but also worldwide. You had no idea about our quirks, but we knew about you and the quirks of your classmates. Besides, I'm sure your girlfriend or boyfriend will happily wait for you to get the provisional license." Shindou reminded he tried to sound nicer. Sure, he'd been a bit of a jerk earlier. The blond's fist clenched faint crackling of his quirk as Katsuki tried to reign his potential outburst. He shouldn't let this jerk, rile him up like this.

But it did, especially those last words, taunting inside his head. Cheeks burning with embarrassment, how the hell had Shindou come up with something like that!? "I'm not with anyone." Katsuki groused, seeing for just a moment a sense of confusion in those brown eyes.

"Oh? With the way, you acted this morning I thought...maybe that ear jacks girl? Or that redhead with the hardening quirk was your lover or something." Shindou added with a shrug of his shoulders.

And then an idea slipped inside his mind. Shindou flung his arm across the blond's shoulders, warm breath teasing against Bakugou's ear. "I wonder, maybe you're more into...someone like me instead. Sure, it will be a little long-distance. But that will make it all the more exciting don't you think?" The older teen suggested as if they were already together.

Katsuki didn't like the close proximity, it had been too long. Before Deku broke up with him, they'd spent hours being close like this. Katsuki shook his head vehemently his hands emitting nervous sparks.

And then he slapped away Shindou's arm. "My type will never be a two-faced creep like you Shindou! So stop with your damned bullshit and leave me the hell alone!" Katsuki shouted. As his legs brought him in the direction of the bus back to UA. After today it would be good to just go to bed early. Heart racing and the vague sensation of his cheeks burning. Katsuki missed his Deku, not some second-year creep from another hero school.

It was his body's fault for misinterpreting the familiarity of the gesture. Just been a while since Katsuki had the chance to think that maybe he should try and find someone else? Leaving the memories of Deku behind him, clearly, that idiot had moved on already. So why couldn't he? A sense of dread swirled low in his belly at that. Standing so damned close to Shindou, feeling the older teen's breath against his ear. "Was just so damned wrong not right at all," Katsuki grumbled under his breath.
