I AM SO SORRY FOR THE LATE UPDATE! It's legit been a whole fucking month now that I look at it 😅. Anyways...I tried making this somewhat long to make up for it. Hope you enjoy!
I walked out of my room, and took out my phone to look at the time. When I saw it on my lock screen, my eyes grew to half the size of my face. "Shit! I'm gonna be late!" I quickly ran to the fridge, and grabbed the first thing I saw. I then rushed to the front door, and as I opened it, apple in hand, I walked into a medium sized box.
It was placed on our doorstep, and was folded close, but not sealed. There was a small piece of paper with a written note, taped to the top of the box. I raised an eyebrow in confusion, and stuffed my apple in my sweater pocket. I bent down to a squat, and picked up the note to read it.
Next time it'll be one of your guys
"Huh?" I looked at the box, and my face scrunched up. Now that I was closer, I could smell the stench coming from it. It smelled like...death. Wait...death? I knew that smell all too well. I put the note down on the floor next to me, and slowly unfolded the box. Inside it was something I didn't really want to see. It was a severed head, covered in what must have been his own blood.
I kept my eyes on the head, as I slightly turned to the side. "Shiro! You're gonna want to see this!" I heard his heavy footsteps, as he walked up to me from behind. He yawned, and spoke in his deep morning voice. "What is...? Oh shit. They made him." I kept my eyes on the content of the box, as I spoke. "Yea no shit!"
After we walked back inside the house, I dropped the box on the ground, and threw my bag on the couch. I looked from the box to him, and crossed my arms. "So you want to tell me why the fuck we have a severed head outside our fucking door!?" Shiro scratched the back of his head, and sighed as he looked down at the box. "He was a Crip...and our inside man. I guess someone saw him talking to us, and told Pedro."
I let out a loud groan, and ran my fingers through my hair in frustration. "You've got to be fucking kidding me Shiro! Why the fuck would you do something so stupid!? We're trying to get their guard down! Not give them a reason to stay alert!" "Shut the fuck up Keith! You have no right to talk! If you were in my place you'd do the same thing!" I felt heat rise to my face, as anger grew inside me. "No actually, I wouldn't!"
I was now a foot in front of him, looking up to glare into his eyes. I then turned, and quickly snatched my bag off of the couch. I walked towards the door, but stopped in front of it, and looked back at him. "I'm going to school. But we're talking about this when I get home. I don't care if you're the fucking leader. You're my brother, and if you get fucked up, then I get dragged down with you." With that, I swung open the door, and swiftly walked out.

It wasn't until after second period when I saw Pidge standing by her locker. I swiftly walked up to her, and tugged her by the arm, making her yelp in response. "We need to talk. Now." She shut her locker, just before I was able to drag her off. "Okay! Okay! I'm coming!" We stopped by the bathrooms and leaned against the wall. We waited until the third period bell rang.
When the last student walked into their class, clearing the hall, I grabbed her arm, and swiftly dragged her into the men's bathroom. I quickly shut the door, and looked under the stalls, making sure there weren't any feet. We couldn't risk anyone overhearing us.
I opened the door to the big stall, and told her to go in. "Okay you wanna tell me what the fuck was so important that I had to ditch class for it!?," she whispered. I was never one to beat around the bush, or lead into something. I was blunt, especially with Pidge. "The Crips left a message for Shiro. When I walked out the front door this morning, there was a box with a severed head inside it." Her eyes widened to half the size of her face, as she took in what I had said. "Oh shit."
