A/N: So I feel like I'm starting to update monthly even tho I'm trying to do weekly, but obviously life is like NOPE! I made this update long af to make up for it tho. You guys will like this one. 😏
NSFW WARNING! THIS HAS SMUT! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
I stood there, looking at myself in my full body mirror. I was wearing a fitting black v-neck, some black ripped jeans, and a red checkered flannel, which was tied around my waist. For shoes, I had my favorite pair of low top black vans, and I wore my hair up in a high ponytail. It wasn't on top of my head, but more at an angle towards the back.
I looked at every detail of my outfit, and sighed. I never dressed like this. Infact, I didn't even know I had this. I don't know, it just seemed...extra. Regardless, I was wearing it to the party today. I had never been much for parties, but today couldn't have come any faster. This past week had been pretty rough, especially after talking to Shiro.
I walked in through the front door, and the first thing I saw was my brother walking out of the kitchen. I threw my backpack on the couch, and plopped onto one of the chairs. "Okay. Talk." He met my eyes, looking at me with a blank expression. "About?" I peered my eyes at him, knowing damn well he knew what I meant. "You know what I'm talking about Shiro. Don't try to dodge this."
Shiro sighed, and placed his cup on the table. "What do you expect me to tell you Keith? 'Hey guess what? I had someone spy on the Crips, and they ended up killing him'? There's literally nothing I could say that you don't already know."
I ran my fingers through my hair in frustration. "Shiro stop fucking around with me! We don't have time for this!" He raised an annoyed eyebrow. "We? What made you think that there was a we? You never wanted to be a part of this, and now you think you can all of a sudden talk to me about how to run this shit? No! That's not how it works Keith!"
I stood up, and walked towards him, looking him dead in the eye. "I may not be the leader, but I sure as HELL have a say in what happens. In case you've forgotten, I'm your brother, meaning if you get heat, then so do I! I have a fucking target on my back, and I'm not gonna put my life in jeopardy cause your dumbass can't make the right decisions. I couldn't give two shits about what you do, but if you drag me into this shit, then that's when I get a fucking say!"
He walked a few steps closer to me, staring down at me. "Actually, you don't! Yes your my brother, but you don't know the first thing about how to lead a gang!" "I know enough to know that you're doing it in all the wrong ways! Shiro don't you see what's happening!? We're repeating the same shit dad did! It's a fucking blood cycle, and we need to break it!"
His voice somewhat softened at my words. "Keith, we've already tried that." I shook my head in disagreement. "No! Dad tried that! That was over a decade ago! This is a new generation. Things change. We can't keep saying it's the 'gang way' or some lame shit like that. We have to stop this Shiro. We don't want any bloodshed on our side, and I sure as hell know that they don't want it on their side either. We may be enemies, but we're in the same position. We can understand each other, and with you being the leader, I know you can understand Pedro!"
The second I said it, I regretted it. I royally fucked up. His face turned red, and before I knew it, he decked me in the face, causing me to stumble back. "Don't you EVER compare me to that fucker! We are NOTHING alike! You're an idiot Keith! What makes you think we could ever make peace with them!? Yea, it's a fucking cycle, but it's not one we can break. We'll always be enemies, and all we can do is fight to survive! Now get the fuck outta my face before I do something I'll regret!"
I stood there, and stared him down, unphased by the punch. I walked up to him again, crossing my arms over my chest. "Fine, but remember what he said. Next time it'll be one of your guys, and when that happens, know that their blood is on your hands!" I picked up my bag, and swung it over my shoulder. I swiftly walked up to my room, and slammed the door shut, locking it behind me. Shit was about to hit the fan, and it'd be his fault.
