These generally care free plants are commonly known as dead nettle and are widely used for ground cover.
These nettles do not sting and are great at keeping weeding to a minimum.
They can survive and thrive in poor soil with full shade and can be trimmed back by slicing with a spade.The different varieties flower from spring to early summer.
Often overlooked these detailed specimens can bring life and colour to an otherwise empty space.
