The police arrived soon after and apprehended the rest of the Jacks. Paramedics arrived on the scene too. They aided all the wounded. The Bounty House was a wreck though. It would take a while for funds from the local government  to arrive for repairs.

Leon looked all around the bounty house, observing the damage.

'Crap. This is going to make a dent in the House's budget,' he thought to himself. 'Well, I guess I'll have to post-pone my trip home...sigh.'

A Doll of about 19 years of age was wrapping his shoulder wound. She was gentle, but her hands felt cold and metallic.

"Adamantite hands? You have adamantite hands?" he asked.

"Yes, I do." she replied." Fully functional prostethic hands with full range of regular hand movement."

"Oh, I see."

"Sir, I believe you're my client?" Violet questioned.

"I believe so. I'm sorry about the whole mess I got you caught up in. I'm not allowed to give away my address, but I desperately needed a Doll. I think you saw why I just can't give it away."

"You have enemies, obviously."

"Many enemies actually," he corrected. "I'm pretty famous to them."

"You mean infamous," Violet corrected him in exchange.

"Yeah...I've locked up quite a few big bad's."

"So, what is my contract with you, sir?"

"What?" Leon looked at her puzzled.

"What is my contract?"

Leon stared at her dumbfounded.

"What's the job?" Violet gave up.

"Ahhh....well it's for my daughter."

"What is it?"

"Well..."

Around 6pm at Leon's apartment...

"Sir, I  do not feel you are telling your daughter the truth," Violet said.

"It's not a lie..." he paused for a moment. "Okay maybe, just half of a lie?"

Violet stood up from the desk. And approached the basket of letters near the door. She took one out saying [To Daddy] and began to read:

[Dear Daddy,

I miss you very much. How's your new job? I hope you're doing okay. Mommy told me that soon I'll be able to see you, your new job, and new place. Even she doesn't know what it is. I'm excited to come to Maidenfield next week, Daddy. We can have our quality time. I'm happy you're now living for the better. 'No more of that dangerous stuff,'  you said. I'm happy you kept your promise. I love you, Daddy. Thank you for making the better decision for all of us.

                                                                                                                                                      Love,

                                                                                                                                                     Madeline]

Violet looked at Leon. Leon looked at the ground. Ashamed. Absolutely ashamed.

 Absolutely ashamed
