Notice that when Steven tries to explain the whirlwind of events that lead up to his blossoming child, Priyanka constantly interrupts him and assuming the wildest scenarios. She event accuses him of having an Odiepus Complex (and if anyone who has read or heard the story of Odiepus then you know how fucked up that is). She baffled by the fact that it all just sort of happened (at least to Steven's understanding). As she sees that Steven, deep down, isn't all too sure of his actions and choices, her only concern is his wellbeing, knowing the strain of his moral isn't the best thing a "first-time father" needs to battle with at the moment. Steven grew up with this provider, and she is somewhat imprinted on him. She may not agree with his situation but know their might be complications and stress, she understands that the thing that Steven needs now is an outside supporter. So, with a caring touch and noble resolve, she is willing to see Steven through to the end.
