"You really need to take a walk, just on your own" Nikita said as they watched the children play. Sasha was 11 now, Russia was 4, Ukraine was 2.
"No I'm alright, I enjoy spending time with my children" USSR responded.
"I don't think you understand me. I'm not saying you need a break from your children I'm saying you may have to think about what you beleve"
"what do you mean?"
"There are some revolutionaries who are spreading there believes throughout all of the Russian empire. I know your an avid communist and so..."
"do you know their names?"
"only a few, would you happen to know one or two?"
"Perhaps I just...Aleksandr Ulyanov..."
"yes he is one of them"
"I see..." he looked over at the children. "I wish I could join him however, I can't leave them behind...or take them with"
"I understand...either way you need to start planning ahead. These people want a soviet union, not an empire. right now your hiding to protect your children however, I feel you need to stand to protect your people." USSR nodded he stood up.
"Kids I'm gonna go for a walk, I need to think about some things. listen to Nikita as if he was me, do you understand?"
"Yes, Papa!" Russia yelled.
"of course dad!" Ukraine said right after. USSR smiled and hugged his children, he then walked out the door.
His walk was peaceful, it was the middle of summer so it was nice and warm. he felt bad knowing that Aleksandr was out there defending him without really knowing him well.
should I go and help him or stay and keep the children safe he thought to himself "god I wish I had some sort of sign"
"What kind of sign?" USSR looked around frantically, who had said that? his eyes quickly locked on a young girl standing not too far away from him.
"Oh um...who are you?"
"Belarus, can you answer my question now?" USSR was shocked, this can't be another child.
"oh um..sorry I just, don't know what the answer is...um well it's nice to meet you Belarus, I must be your new father" she smiled and grabbed his hand. "I suppose I should get you home"
"that would be nice."
"oh you should probably know, you have a sister named Ukrain and a brother named Russia"
"yay I can't wait to meet them." she talked in almost a monotone voice which was a bit confusing to the young man.
The two of them talked untell they reached the cabin. USSR opened the door to find Nikita reading and the kids asleep on the couch.
"ah welcome back friend, how was your walk?" Nikita asked looking from his book.
"oh it was wonderful, and look who I met" the little girl stepped out shyly from behind her father and smiled, the man about choked.
"...with the way Ukraine and Russia fight do you really want another one?"
"yes"
"I...that's fair..." Ukraine woke up at this and proceed to wake up her brother.
"ugg...why'd you wake me up..." Russia asked.
"I don't know, I woke up you should to," she responded.
"Hello," Belarus said smiling at the kids "are you Russia and Ukraine?" the two of them looked to one another than at Belarus and then back to each other.
"yes I'm Ukraine and that idiot is Russia, now who are you" Soviet glared at Ukraine wich got her to apologize.
"I'm Belarus, your new sister"
"are you as mean as this one" Russia said pointing to Ukraine
"I am not!" Ukraine yelled back.
"yes, you are!"
"No I'm-"
"Can you stop!" Belarus yelled waking up Sasha and catching everyone off guard. up untell that point she had shown little to no emotion, and now she was yelling. immediately after this outburst she went back to normal.
"uggg what happened," Sasha asked. "AHH" she jumped at the sight of Belarus having not met her before. "oh great another contry"
"Sasha! that isn't nice" Nikita said.
"Sorry dad, it won't happen again."
it wasn't long untell Nikita and Sasha left for the night. USSR prepared dinner and found that Ukraine and Russia fought less now that Belarus was there. the night ended as many previous nights ended, with soviet and his children asleep cuddling on the couch.
May 20th, 1887, about one year from that day. the sound of the rope tightening, the stool falling, and the noise of the crowd filled the ears of the Soviet Union. he watched as the young man who had pleaded on his behalf hung there, dead. he couldn't look he had to turn away, but who did he lock eyes with, his own father of course.
