The rush of the first day of school does not last that long for most students. For Lila however, being able to see Luca everyday made her feel so much better. Even if he did not know it, he was the reason she could get out of bed everyday.

Lila's mom always left early in the morning, so she was usually home alone when she woke up.

Lila sat up in bed, stretched her arms and yawned. She excitedly jumped right out of bed and went to the bathroom to brush her teeth and wash her face. She dabbed some lipgloss onto her lips and painted some natural looking mascara onto her eyelashes. She wanted to look naturally beautiful, so that maybe he would see her as a woman, not a little sister. Lila quickly brushed out her long brown wavy hair and fashioned it into a  pony-tail. She pulled on her uniform for school, grabbed her jacket, and went downstairs. She slung her backpack on and made her way to school.

Lila rode her bike to school and usually on the way her friend Elektra would meet up with her. Lila didn't have many close friends, but Elektra is the only one she really needed. Elektra was more outgoing and social than Lila was, and that's exactly why they got along. Sure, Lila's not the social type and Elektra often forces her to go out quite often, but it's a good thing. Elektra's good for her. She helps her take her mind off of Luca.

Suddenly Lila hears Elektra shout out her name, "Lila, wait up!"

Lila paused, turned back and smiled, "Hey girly."

Elektra caught up eventually and the two girls headed off to school talking about trivial things. Elektra mostly did the talking, and Lila usually do the listening.

Lila's mind drifted and slowly her mind started thinking of him; His eyes, his hair, and mostly importantly his dazzling smile. It could turn a bad day in a good one. It could tell you that things would get better and that you should cheer up without saying a single word. It was always there for her. Lila never saw him without it. There was a point in time where Lila even let herself believe that the smile he wore, was because of her.

Before she knew it she was grinning.

"I've never seen you smile so much, what's up?" asked Elektra

"It's nothing. I was just excited for my piano solo in our orchestra piece," she lied, giving her a small smile.

"Sureeee," Elektra said in an disbelieving manner, "A piano solo is giving you extreme happiness? That's hard to believe, but whatever."

She shook her head and laughed, "You're a interesting one Lils."

"No, you," Lila said jokingly.

As they got closer to the school, the brick wall surrounding the main building came into sight. Ivy crept up the corners making various patterns. The main entrance way was a large and elegant black and gold painted gate. There were swirls, flowers, birds, and plants in the design. It was always a breathtaking sight.

Once Elektra and Lila passed through the gate, they parked our bikes on the rack near the main building. They sat on a bench and watched other students flood into the school. It was a sea of navy blue and white uniforms.

Elektra tapped Lila's shoulder, "Lila, it's almost showtime."

Now, you may be thinking, what does she mean by 'showtime?' It's not a performace or a movie. It's only the most annoying thing in existence. It's just the grand entrance that the most popular students tend to make everyday when they show up to school. Everyone stops and stares as if they're frozen.

First the Carlisles roll up to the gate in their shiny new Rolls Royce. The Carlisle family is one of the prominent benefactors of the school. Their mother is on the board and almost all of their family members have passed through the academy. The current Carlisles attending the academy are Devon and his younger sister Chanel. Both are quite popular.

Devon is the captain of the basketball, football, and baseball team. Apparently he's been scouted by multiple professional teams, but nobody knows for sure. As for Chanel, she loves spotlight. At the age of fourteen, she already had over 2k instagram followers. She then started part-time modeling, and as her empire and social media fame grew, she became a fashion icon and a muse to every designer. It's only a given that she was quite popular at school too. She's often followed around by Giselle Lee, the daughter of the CEO of Haneul Beauty and Nova Clemonte, the daughter of a government official.

Giselle Lee was considerably popular, but she was only noticeable due to her relations with Chanel Carlisle and the fact that her mom ran a multibillion dollar beauty company. Giselle never spent much time with her family due to that fact they were never around, and as a result she became quite lonely. She cured that by throwing the largest most extravangant parties every weekend. You were lucky if you got an invitation at all. Giselle never spared any expense. She thought that maybe if she filled her life with enough people, that might make up for the lack of people in her life. Somehow, Giselle managed to keep up her grades even though she partied every other night.

As for Nova Clemonte, she was a notorious heartbreaker. She was pretty and also a extremely big flirt. She was smart, but unfortunately she lacked common sense. She was known to date rich men, often with wives, for fun. She would spend time with them, flirt, go shopping, and before they knew it, those men were broke and their wives were chasing after her. She had more than enough money to buy her own stuff, but according to her it's not 'fun'. Guys at school would do anything for her, even if it meant doing something stupid, and of course she would take advantage of that with no regrets. Some would say she's a femme fatale.

Then, the school's most beloved student, Ivan Alderidge, makes his entrance, along with his headmaster father. As soon as Ivan steps out of his car, most girls swoon and are all over him. Little did those girls know, Lila once knew that boy. They used to be so close.

It was primarily Ivan, Luca and Lila growing up. Lila's mom and dad were close friends to the Alderidge family, and Luca's parents were very close too. Their parents spent so much time together through work, or for fun, that they ended up being close. They were like the three musketeers. Luca was much older older than Lila and Ivan, and treated them as his siblings. As they grew up, he would come visit us, take them out for ice cream, take them on adventures, and even come to school events to support them. According to Lila, eventually, Ivan rose in popularity and left her behind, and Ivan was too busy in college to be there for her. Of course she didn't take it personally. They all knew it would happen eventually; that their bond would not last forever. Most childhood relationships fall apart eventually.

The school bell rang and Elektra and Lila headed off to their classes.
