"Are we associating with basically a gang, there pretty much a gang" Sadie said breathing heavily. "Don't know" Alex replied stopping in her tracks. She looking into the alley to see the boys fighting with some other boys. She saw Finn on the ground behind kicked by some girls and a boy punch him in the face. She looked at Sadie. "Where's caleb??" Sadie asked worried. Alex looked around. "He's over there" she pointed as she spot him. She looked for jack. That's when she saw him being pushed up against the wall with a knife to his throat. She gasped in shock and fear. That's when things got a bit quiet and Finn got pushed up against the wall, he looked at jack and so did everybody else. Jack looked over seeing Alex and he quickly looked away. "What?" The guy with the knife asked. "What are you gonna do, kill me? Slit my throat? Stab me?" Jack asked. "I would love to, but hiding dead bodies aren't easy and I don't got time for that right now" he said which made jack give him a look of disgust. "Sadie, I hate to say this but call the cops," Sadie pulled her phone out. "Wait, but they will take jack and them too" Alex shook her head. "Not if they get away" she replied. Jack glanced over at Alex when the guy wasn't looking. "Who are you looking at?" He asked. Jack quickly grabbed the knife out of his hand and flipped him to the wall. "Wow, impressive" he chuckled. He pushed jack to the ground and fell on top of him pushing the knife to his cheek. He looked over at Alex and look down at jack. "Who's that hottie over there? Your girlfriend?" Alex looked confused. That's when Finn looked over at her. "What the hell are you doing here?" He mouthed to her. Alex ignored him and continued looking at jack. "She's none of your business" jack spat in his face. "How about," he said pulling him up and pushing jacks chest against the wall. "Give me the girl, I won't hurt you" he said looking at Alex. "Oh fuck you" jack cursed. He shook his head. "Alright then" he said moving the knife closer to jack. "I'll go!" Alex shouted. He stopped looking at her. "Just, leave him alone" jack looked at Alex. He shook his head. "Come on, Come here" he demanded. Alex listened and slowly walked over to him. "No ale-" Finn began to say but was punched in the stomach. He grabbed jack and pushed him away, switching and grabbing Alex. "Sirens" jaeden muttered. He kicked the boy off him and ran over to Finn, he pushed the girls and boy away pulling Finn away to run. Jack didn't care, he wasn't leaving without Alex. Caleb grabbed Sadie. "Jack come on!" He shouted. "She comes with me" the boy behind her said. Jack heisted. Caleb grabbed jack by the shirt and pulled him away. But was stopped as a cop car pulled up in front of them. The boy looked behind him seeing there was an escape. He grabbed Alex and began running. But another cop car blocked the alley way out. Her let go of Alex and gave up putting his hands in the air.

Alex sat in a chair next to jack. "Hey, thank god you guys are ok" Sadie said coming in the door. "I'm fine" Alex said. "Luckily, we got you guys bailed out of here" Chosen said beside her. "Great" jack said sounding annoyed and mad. "Plus they gave me finns mugshot" chosen laughed. Finn looked up at him giving him a pissed off look. "Come on, let's go" Sadie said.

Jack stayed quiet the whole car ride. Alex didn't know what was wrong with him, maybe he's mad at her for coming and trying to help. Sadie pulled up to the restaurant and shut the car off. "How about we stay here for awhile, I'll make some food for everyone since Gabe's not here cause we're closed" Sadie says. Everyone got out and walked inside as Sadie unlocked the door. "Jack are you alright" Alex asked. "You could have got hurt today," he said sitting down with him arms crossed. "But I didn't, you don't have to worry about me" Alex reassures him. "Well I do worry about you, chase wouldn't hesitate to hurt you" he said trying to keep his voice down so no one else would hear him. "But like I said he didn't, look on the bright side of things, what was I suppose to do, watch him slit your throat" alex said sitting down in front of him. "Well he would have slit yours" Alex sighed. "Well I'm sorry, I didn't know" she said feeling bad. "Well then just stay away from the danger next time, the gangs around here are dangerous, that's why I wanted you away from us, cause they could have kidnapped you in a snap. I was just trying to keep you safe" he said as his voice lowered. Alex slouched back in her seat. "Now I know" she frowned. He sighed. "Hey," Sadie said getting there attention. "I cooked you a burger, just the way you like it" she said setting it down in front of Alex. Alex smiled a bit. "Thanks" She said making Sadie smile. "Caleb has yours, he knows how you like it" Sadie looked at jack. Jack nodded and Sadie walked away. "I'm sorry for being mad at you," jack apologized. Alex nodded with her arms crossed. "I understand why, you have every right to be mad at me," jack sighed. Caleb brought his food and they ate quietly.

"Do you need a ride home?" Sadie asked. "I can take her home" jack quickly said. Alex looked at Sadie. "Thanks for the offer" she smiled a bit. Sadie smiled back and walked away.

Alex got into jacks car, slamming the door as she got into her seat. "Alex," jack asked as he set his head onto the steering wheel. "Yeah?" She asked turning his direction. "I-I can't have you getting in danger anymore" he said looking up at her. She tilted her head a bit confused. He put his hand on her cheek and pulled her into a kiss. "I'm being serious this time, and as much as I hate it, I want you to actually stay away from me," he said, sounding like he wanted to cry. "I can't just stay away from you" she told him as tears formed in her eyes. "I know but I need you too, because I can't have anything happen to you because if something did it would be my fault" she shook her head. "I'm sorry," he said. She stayed quiet and turned facing forward. Jack wiped his eyes and turned the car on, driving to Alex's house.

Alex opened her door and looked back at jack, who was staring at her. She looked down before leaning over and kissing him. "A kiss goodbye" she whispered pulling away. He nodded a bit and kissed her one last time. She pulled away and slowly got out of the car. She shut the door and walked up to her house. She unlocked the door closing it behind her. She set her back against it and slid down to the floor. Pulling her knees to her chest and crying. She had fallen in love with jack, and now she had to stay away from him.

Jack drove home with tears in his eyes. He hated what he just did but he knew it was for the best. He just wanted her safe and if staying away is what he had to do then he would do it just for her.
