"Missing Derry awright this mornin'?" Jungkook asked, nudging a spacey Taehyung in one of the plush red armchairs of the Gryffindoor common room.

"Er maybe I'm just traumatized after wakin' up orly on a Saturday mornin' and spending it in the ruddy dungeons. Where's Jimin anyway?" He responded.

"He mumbled off some excuse to follow tha' Yoongi bloke off." Taehyung grinned that devilishly handsome way of his.

"Probably somethin' like his wee hands were too cold so he needed someone to hold 'em or some shite. 'Course your response woulda been tellin' him to exercise so he naturally dipped off." Jungkook grinned in return, stretching out that tattered red and black sweater of his to reveal a bit too much of his unusually sculpted chest as he adjusted himself to perch on the chair's arm close to Taehyung. His cinnamon-y woodsy cologne wafted into Taehyung's nose burned a twinge sweetly, and for a moment Taehyung lost his breath. He swallowed a bit thickly before Jungkook could notice, bringing himself back to reality before echoes of nights spent chuckling by fire in his cozy home, running madly through the woods with boundless exhilaration, and most importantly mornings with the first warm ray of sunlight glowing on visage of himself, wrapped around the younger boy as he dreamt soundly beside him. Maybe it wasn't Derry his missed, but the otherworldly life of last Fall holiday that had stuck itself so stubbornly in his mind for the last several months that he hadn't slept comfortably since, even as the other boy occupied the bed right beside him in dormitory.

"Aye, he's got a massive crush on that sly bugger." Jungkook said without hesitation.

"Think we should trust 'im? Slytherin lad?" Taehyung asked a bit more earnestly.

"Oi, don't change the subject. We can have a family meetin' later. Yer missing Derry, aye?"

Taehyung rolled his eyes and stood up, stretching his tired arms and making an auditory ruckus as usual. He scratched the back of his head momentarily and closed his eyes, appearing in slow motion as his heavenly form often did to Jungkook. It was bloody painful how beautiful he was sometimes, so even the sturdy Jungkook had to steady himself before standing up to meet him from being so weak in the knees. Taehyung's devil-may-care eyes glinted as they reopened and settled on the younger boy, and smirk played upon his soft lips.

"Worried about me?"

"A-aye right," Jungkook managed quickly in retort, hoping the stammer of his fluster went unnoticed. "You seemed glum is all."

"Ye, I guess I oughta be studyin' today instead of messin' about like usual. Never studied as well here as back home, windae open listening to the water and gulls about with the freshest air in the world blowin' in...or in mum's alchemical glass house when the sky were pissin'." Maybe he did miss Derry a tinge. The fierce cold and high altitude of the Scottish Highlands were a bit intemperate for his Irish nature.

"Guess were should both be readyin' fer that Herbology exam, aye?" Jungkook sighed. "Guess I could grab me textbook and we could go down to the RoR for a bit o' revision."

"I've got mine, no need." Taehyung replied a bit too hastily. "And if we go there the others might bother us. I've a wee bit more quiet place in mind."

"Aye lovely," Jungkook said. "Lead on."

Soon after the boys found themselves in a secluded part of the castle far from the hustle and bustle of students enjoying their casual Saturday. Taehyung led Jungkook into the small and forgotten room housing only a few comfy chairs and empty tables. He showed the younger boy over to a loveseat in the corner of the silent room and motioned for him to sit down.

"How'd you find this place?" Junkook asked curiously.

"Oh, Jimin and I wandered into it. We did a lot of piddling about the castle our first year here." Junkook couldn't help but feel a small stab of spite at the idea of the two ambling around the castle"s dark corners alone together for two years before he even arrived. Who knows what could've transpired among the warm, candlelit halls and hidden alcoves such as this. "He never liked it here though. Said it was too quiet. Insists he needs a bit o' background noise to focus." Taehyung added.

"No wonder 'is grades are tragic." Jungkook replied flatly, plopping down beside Tae and earning a hearty chuckle from him. "Don't laugh too hard, I've never seen you here before either!" Taehyung rolled his eyes and elbowed the other boy lightly.

"Well I'm not generally all that serious about me grades either am I? But you and I can motivate each other!"

"Aye," Jungkook said. "Motivation."

A few hours passed as the boys looked over their notes and read droll passage after passage from the mind-numbing tome. There were only so many terms to quiz each other on and plants to pretend to give a shit about. Eventually, though, Taehyung found himself reading the section they'd struggled with most aloud with Jungkook tucked in between his arms comfortably. The slow, heavy breaths alerted him that the wee Scot was no longer conscious, prompting him to peer down at glimpse his cherub-like features as they rested once again upon his own chest.

"H-hyung..." Jungkook mumbled absently, one sweater-pawed hand grasping lightly at his own shirt.

Taehyung allowed the heavy book to slide silently off his lap onto the space beside him on the couch. He brushed aside the younger boy's fringe gently, bending over with an utter lack of self-restraint and finding himself, before realizing, placing a single shy kiss upon his forehead. Jungkook fidgeted a bit, his eyes fluttering, until he opened them completely to gaze at his admirer.

"Hyung?" He asked, cheeks flushing pink even in the yellow light. With this, Taehyung knew he must be mad and relinquished all semblance of control. He lent down swiftly and pressed his lips against the other boy's, causing Jungkook's breath to hitch in his throat as he suddenly tasted the sweet lips of the boy that had appeared so frequently in his dreams. When Taehyung began to pull away, suddenly stiffened by fear, perhaps lack of reciprocation, he let loose this breath and straightened up, quickly reorienting his mouth so that the other boy's was on it once again and inadvertently grasping a handful of his shirt in his fervor.

The older boy responded in kind, pressing his lips deep into the other's, tongue battling his teeth like a cage until it saw an opportunity to explore Jungkook's mouth, which it seized. Jungkook felt a hand snake itself into his hair and pressed deeper into Taehyung's embrace. He tasted like peppermint.

Taehyung pulled away, panting heavily from the adrenaline-inducing passion of their tryst.

"Hyung, don't stop," Jungkook plead, eyes still shut in anticipation. Taehyung's eyes glowed in a sort of lustiness he'd never before encountered.

"Don't tempt me," He breathed, stooping to kiss Jungkook's neck and suck in just a bit of soft, sensitive flesh. Jungkook let out a small bleat of pleasure as he did so. Taehyung's mouth began to move slower, stopping to take a deep breath in and steady himself. They couldn't be doing this. They shouldn't. He wasn't even sure if Jungkook liked boys...and he didn't want to end up being a failed experiment. He placed one last kiss on the boy's jawline and pulled away.

"What's wrong?" Jungkook asked, heart still beating far too fast and every ounce of it screaming to go on.

"We shouldn't do this." Taehyung croaked, standing suddenly. "I'll see you back in the common room." With this he suddenly bolted from the room, leaving a whirling Jungkook to untangle the events in his mind on his own.
