"How was school?" Kandy asked. Nikki shrugged pushing her broccoli around the plate. "Your teacher called and said that she sent you out cause you threw a book at a girl. Care to explain?" Nikki glared at her plate. "If you knew how school went, why ask 'how was school'?" She said bitterly. "Excuse me. We don't talk back in this house. I'm the adult here." Nikki pushed her plate away. "Then act like it. YOU'RE practically sleeping with every guy in the world." She shot back. Silence. Nikki got up and stormed to her room, slamming the door. Nikki sighed throwing herself on her bed.
She ached because she missed Max and Neil. They were her real friends. Nikki stared at her computer. She got up and opened it. I wonder how I can get a map..She knew Max lived xxxx. She prints a map after FOREVER, and went downstairs to see her mom sleeping on a couch. she grabbed her purse and too 50 dollars out. nikki stood in the front doorway. let the adventure begin.
