Max's Pov

He sat in his room, the door locked. Max rolled his eyes as he watched Youtube. His little sister, Carly, had found her way into his room "Seriously, Carly, what am I gonna do with you?" He asked picking her up glaring. Carly clapped her hands, unfazed with Max's glare. Max sighed. She was only 4 years old. She doesn't know when he's irritated with her. Max looked at his clocked. "It's time for bed. Let's go." He carried her to her crib. Max sighed again glancing at the window, he wondered what Nikki and Neil were doing. "I hope Nikki is okay with her mom.." He muttered. "I hope Neil is too." He watched Carly fall asleep. "Here I am, watching over Carly when my parents work an overnight shift." He whispered. Is that even legal? To leave a 10, and 4 year old home alone? He thought. Max grumbled going to his room. Not that they cared. He thought bitterly. He pulled his other hoodie off and put on some shorts. He got in bed. Max glared at the ceiling that had green glow in the dark stars. David cared more than his parents. He drifted off to sleep, turning over.

Max walked to school. He bit into his Poptart, boredly looking around. A bus drove by. Max sees a teal pigtail. "Nikki?" He says aloud. The bus comes to an abrupt stop and a bundle of energy jumped out. "What the fuck?" Nikki ran toward him. "MAX!!!!!!" She screeched. She tackled him in a hug and they fall back. "Nikki? What the fuck are you doing here? How--" Max stopped hearing a sniffle. "Ma-a-a-a-a-a-a-ax!Imissedyousomuch!ImissedNeil!Imisseveryone!Imostly missedyou,butIhateitathomeagirlnamedmariaisbeingmeanandeveryonebulliesmebutIignorethemandthinkaboutyouuuuuu!" She sobbed. Max blinked, wrapping his arms around her. "Wut?" He asked. "I missed you!!" She cried. Max pulled away and wiped her tears. "Nik, where do you live?" Nikki sniffed. "Los Angeles.." She said. Max smiled a little, then he smirked. "Wow, Nikki, I know I'm irresistible, but damn, Nikki. You came all the way from there?" Nikki giggled. "Don't flatter yourself." Max looked at the hoodie. "You wore it." Nikki looked down too. "Uhm. Yeah.." Max smiled a little. "It suits you." Nikki grinned. "So does that smile on your face." Max looked away. "I'm not smiling!" Nikki laughed. "Sure you aren't!" Max looked at her. "My god I missed you." He muttered looking away again. "Of course you did Max! I'm irresistible!" Max burst out laughing. "Yep." he said genuinely.
