Chapter 29

After 6 hours, the sign for the operating theatre turned off. Jennie instantly sat up, impatiently waiting for the news.

" Relative of Kim Jisoo ? "

" Me, that's me. Doc how is my baby ? "

" Good news and bad news. Good news is that she survived a losing battle. Bad news, if we don't find someone who has her blood type fast, she might leave this world. "

" O. "

" Pardon. "

" My blood type is O, use my blood. "

" Okay we will run some test and if your blood is suitable, we can save her. "

The nurse hurriedly guided Jennie to the room. She felt for her veins and pierced the needle into her bloodstream. After what seemed like forever, Jennie felt slightly weaker. Her needle was removed and was given a band aid. She walked to Jisoo's ward and sat beside her bed.

" You promised me, you promised. "

In Jisoo's subconscious mind:

" Grandma ? What are you doing here ? I miss you ! "

" That's my question. What are you doing here, you still have a long way to go in your journey with life.  "

" What do you mean ? "

" You're near the gates of heaven. "

" That can't be grandma. I promised my Jennie that I will survive this mission. "

" I know it's hard, but you have to fight it, fight your negative thoughts because you're the only one she has and shes the only one that you need. Go get her tiger."

" Granny, I want a hug, it's been a good 5 years without you. "

Jisoo and grandma exchange a hug and bid farewell to each other. While Jennie was sleeping, Jisoo mentally fought all her negative thoughts. She tried to wake up, she felt like she was climbing up and endless hole until she was reminded of the sweet embrace of her Jendukie, she fought for three days. She knew, she knew she was alive, she felt someone holding her hand and she squeezed it. That's when she heard sobbing and her eyes began to see again.

" Jisoo... "

" I came back. "

" How ? "

Wiping away Jennie's tears, Jisoo replied,

" I told you, I won't leave you. "
