I turned off the radar and the Janice monitor so she couldn’t track me down. This will barely give me time, since I know I will be on the news when they find out “Multibillionaire and Iron Man Tony Stark not a good parent? Our resources tell us Iron Man’s Daughter, also known as Skylar Stark has escaped her quarters at Potts Tower and is not to be found in Stark Enterprises either. Our resources have also told us she is in her Iron Man suit, but no one yet knows of her whereabouts yet. We’ll keep you all synchronized. Now onto Wendy the weatherwoman.” I can already imagine all the program! And if it’s on the news, at least someone will tell me out.
AND THEY HAVE TO LEARN MY NAME!
I know Janice won’t stop, and eventually will find me, so I guess I have to hurry. Oh, and of course Mom will want to kill me after this.
After checking I had everything I needed safe and with me, I was about to go into the sink when I heard some sounds coming from the hall just outside my almost-apartment room. I heard many thuds of someone trying to break the door, which was barred and could only be opened by a 7 people, but I put it in lockout mode so there’s only 3 people that can open it. There’s no chance they can do it with my hard configurations and…
“Lockout mode is being turned off. Welcome to Skyler Athena Stark’s room,” said a male robotic voice; it’s not Janice, since I locked her out of my room and forbid her entrance into the network here.
Who opened the door? There’s only Draven, Dad, (which is so not even a possibility) and… mom.
“Skyyyyyler! Skyler are you OK? Skyler this better not be one of your games or I swear to Odin I will…” Oh no. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no! Why, oh Pringle-making Odin, why? Why my mother? Why did she have to come to the alarm? Why couldn’t my irresponsible father take her to… Australia?
After my last escape, in which I broke a small tiny little part of the Great Wall, Mother here won't let me out alone. Oh, and a couple days ago I almost died so... you get the deal.
“Ma’ am, she’s not on her room, but…”
“Well then find her!”
“Ma’am, we have signals of her being on the other side of that door.”
“For the love of… of course she is there Pepper!” I heard my mother yell at herself. Forgot to mention, I inherited the “screaming at yourself in times of need” syndrome. It must be in the genes…
Wait on a second… I’m here… and my mother just opened lockout mode… and me is sort of supposed to be escaping… for the love of Cheetos I gotta run!
I ran to the sink and threw my backpack in. Some more booms gave me the idea that they blasted through most of the doors in barricade mode. Another big boom and an echo told me they were already at my door. I jumped into the hidden small tunnel in the sink and shut the door closed, just as someone threw open my bathroom’s door. I turned around, already in the tunnel but with a small gap in the doorway to see what’s going on, just in time to see someone walking into the room, with other people following.
